Angela Golden is a current fellow and past president of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She received her doctoral degree from Arizona State University in 2008. She has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the AANP Certification Program since 1998. Her tenure as the president of AANP gives her a unique outlook on the nation’s perspective of health care. She owns NP Obesity Treatment Clinic where she provides evidence-based obesity treatment.  She earned OMAs Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Management and the Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Education, an internationally recognized certification.

Angela Golden has a great deal of experience as a consultant in the development of patient education materials, has authored a book and a chapter on obesity management, written several peer reviewed articles, participated in research, and been interviewed by lay media on obesity treatment. She presents nationally and internationally with an emphasis on obesity, health policy, leadership and clinical care.
