Elena García Pérez, was born in Sama de Langreo, belonging to the Cuenca Minera, in the Principality of Asturias. At the age of 16, she entered the Castilian lands, studying: Social Work, Teacher of Spanish and Art History in Valladolid. She worked as a Social Worker in Soria and Valladolid, for more than 12 years. Later, she set up her own Spanish Academy for foreigners in Valladolid. She has been residing in Lyon (France) for 17 years where she has worked as a Spanish language teacher in different French institutions until setting up her own company 7 years ago. What reasons have led her to write her book "Talking to the stars" and translate it later into English? The starting point to writing the book was to help each one to discover their own inner essence. From the first moment I identified myself with my character "Pipilet Mandala", but it was later when I discovered that destiny played an important role in my book and it should also be translated into English to complete my star. 20 years ago, a man named Dextra (almost unknown to me, astrologer and seer) sent me a gift from the United States. The package contained a book and a pen (for me), money to buy 7 red roses (for a close friend who had just passed away), a watch (to give to a child) and a compass (for another child). At that time, I didn't understand anything about why he was sending me these gifts when we barely knew each other. However, it came to belong to one of the many mysteries that life has given me. When I had already written more than 70% of the book, I remembered those gifts. I clearly saw that each of them represented a symbolism, itself. It was when I understood what my friend Dextra was trying to tell me through them: "Your story begins now." I discovered the meaning: "Over time you will write a book with unconditional love for children in which you will mark the direction: Earth - Cosmos." Nevertheless, the message went even further from the simple meaning of a child, since it did not refer to an infant itself, but to the child that is within us. Yes, that child that is there, latent or asleep and it was necessary to make that child wake up and open new paths. I would be for them, the teacher, the guide that would give them the first guidelines through my book. This would open new horizons for the children so that they could later investigate and find their essence and the reason for their own existence. What we have to have clear is that destiny often comes to us through messages and we have to be the ones who will have to discover them. I hope that when we feel lost in the night, we will speak to our star, so that it guides us on the path and opens our horizons through its light.
