After graduating with a B.S. in physics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Francisco Restrepo joined the group of professor Juan Carlos Campuzano at the same institution, following his interest in many-body physics, superconductivity, and angle-resolved photoemission. After obtaining his PhD, he joined the group of professor Utpal Chatterjee at the University of Virginia, where he continues to work on high-temperature superconductors and other strongly correlated materials.
