GLENN PATTERSON was born in Belfast, where he first heard the Shangri-Las – on the Dansette – in 1972. He is the author of eleven novels and five works of non-fiction. With Colin Carberry he wrote Good Vibrations (BBC Films), which the pair later adapted for stage. His broadcast work includes TheNorthern Bank Job, for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, which won best true crime podcast in the first Irish Podcast Awards. He is Director of the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's University.
