G. Jamsrandorj worked in public and private companies about 50 years in gold, copper and uranium deposits, worked at the Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, at the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of Mongolia. He has extensive experience in geological prospecting, exploration and reserve calculation of ore deposits. He  is a Ph.Doctor. He is the first in Mongolia to introduce heap leaching of gold-bearing ores at the Olon Ovoot deposits in southern Mongolia. He is one of the members of the discovery of one of the world 10 largest copper-gold porphyry deposits of Oyu Tolgoi and the largest gold plecer district of Zaamar in Mongolia, participated in the exploration and calculation of reserves of the uranium deposits of Mongolia Dornod, Nemer, Mardaingol, Dald and Khairkhan.

Uranium expert of the state-owned company Monatom and actively participated in the preparation of the draft law on amendments and additions to the law “on nuclear energy of Mongolia” in the Mongolian Parliament and the agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the French company Orana for uranium mining at the Zoovch Ovoo deposits in Mongolia.
Jamsrandorj has a list of more than 50 publications printed by both national and international scientific journals. He is the author or co-author of more than 10 books and 20 geological reports devoted to the geology and mineral potential of Mongolia. He published the book “Discovery Oyu Tolgoi” in the Elsever publishing company with a group of authors, the first to give the discovery of ‘secret’ information about uranium in Mongolia in the Red Book of the IAEA in 1993. G. Jamsrandorj with J. Byamba, and Y.B. Mironov prepared and published a new monograph “Geodynamics and metallogeny of uranium in Mongolia” (Ulaanbaatar, 2019), reflecting the connections of uranium mineralization with the geodynamic conditions of the development of the earth’s crust. Jamsrandorj was selected to participate in the group of experts to provide recommendations on the application of the resource/reserve classifications in Mongolia.
