JESSICA SPILLA is the author of children's and young adult books. Her books have been selected by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and distributed to schools all over the country. Jessica specialized in English Language (translation) in London, England, and has a Master's degree in Children's Literature from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. She currently lives in São Paulo and her two children are her greatest inspirations. Her day-to-day life with her children reveals details of her childhood that she tries to transpose into her books for babies and young children, with an emphasis on nature and valuing family life. Through Pangolin Books, Jessica has published two award-winning books: "Back and forth", a book that encourages babies to interact with nature, and "In search in the lost past", her first juvenile book written when she was only 14 and one of the publisher's bestsellers. Jessica was awarded the Nature Inside seal for her concern for bringing children closer to nature through children's literature, promoting meaningful environmental education from an early age.
