Professor Kholofelo Matlhaba, RN, PhD, is an Associate Professor for Health Sciences Education at the Department of Health Studies, College of Human Science, School of Social Sciences, University of South Africa (UNISA). Her research interests focus on Clinical competence of new graduate nurses as well as teaching and assessment in Nursing Education.
She is a supervisor for master’s and Doctoral degree students with Health Sciences Education, Nursing Education, General Nursing Science and Public health-related topics. She has published in both national and international accredited journals; presented research work at national and international conferences; and supervised and co-supervised Masters and Doctoral students.
She is an external examiner for national and international universities and an external moderator for military nursing colleges (Ethos and Professional Practice and Integrated General Nursing Science 200/300). She is a Board member and Chapter Chairperson for Nursing Education Association, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, a member of the UNISA Chance to Advance Community Engagement and UNISA Women’s Forum, and a member of the Southern African Association of Health Educationalists.
Professor Matlhaba received a Certificate of Appreciation for Community Service in 2022 and the Knowledge Mobilizer Award in 2023.
