Marianne Franke-Gricksch was born in 1942 in Munich, Germany. She is the mother of two sons and is divorced. Following a twenty-five year career in teaching at various Grundschulen and Hauptschulen while concurrently training and practicing psychotherapy and Family Constellation work, Franke-Gricksch now has a private practice for psychotherapy and family therapy. Beginning in 1975, she trained in primary therapy, Family Constellation work with Bert Hellinger, hypnotherapy with Gunther Schmidt, brief therapy with Steve de Shazer, and she is also trained as a healer. Today she facilitates group workshops for Family Constellation and offers couple and individual therapy. Her particular focus of attention is on the experience that she gains in occupational supervision with teachers and therapists, as well as in systemically oriented therapy groups for young adults between the ages of sixteen and twenty-two.
