Massimiliano Nuccio is a Associate Professor​ of business economics and management at the Department of Management, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy), and Deputy Director of its Bliss Digital Impact Lab. His main research interests include digital transformation and data-driven innovation both at the regional and firm level, with a particular focus on service industries such as banking & insurance, retail, culture & creativity. He teaches business analytics and explores the application of different machine learning and NLP algorithms to understand and predict consumer behavior.
Dr. Nuccio has been a Visiting Professor at Leuphana University Lueneburg (Germany) and a research fellow at the University of Birmingham (UK). He has published in international journals including Journal of Economic Methodology, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Tourism Economics, European Planning Studies, European Urban and Regional Studies, Pattern Recognition Letters, and Growth and Change.
