Dr. Nobutaka Yoshioka is the Director of Neuroplastic Surgery at Tominaga Hospital in Osaka, Japan. He received a doctoral degree in medicine from Osaka City University and completed a residency program in plastic surgery and neurosurgery in Japan. Board-certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Neurosurgery in Japan, Dr. Yoshioka served as a research fellow under Dr. Rhoton in Microsurgical Neuroanatomy at UF from 2003 to 2004 and studied facial nerve anatomy as a visiting scholar at Stanford University from 2022 to 2023. He has authored over 100 articles (including 30 in English). His current research interests include facial reanimation surgery and cranial reconstruction.

 

Dr. Albert L. Rhoton Jr. was a pioneer in the study of microneurosurgical anatomy. He served on the editorial boards of six surgical journals and worked as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Florida. Championing this field over the past half-century, he produced more than 500 publications.

 

Dr. Juan C. Fernandez-Miranda is a Professor of Neurosurgery and Surgical Director of the Stanford Brain Tumor, Skull Base, and Pituitary Centers. He is internationally renowned for his expertise in minimally invasive brain surgery, endoscopic skull base, and pituitary surgery, open skull base surgery, and complex brain tumor surgery. He is highly regarded for his innovative contributions to the development and refinement of endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery and for his ability to select the most effective and minimally invasive approach for each patient. He is co-founder and vice-president of the International Rhoton Society and an executive member of the Board of Directors for The Neurosurgical Atlas, the largest nonprofit organization for neurosurgical education and research globally.
