Robert E. Wright is a lecturer in the economics department at Central Michigan University. He has written, cowritten, edited, and coedited several books on US economic policy and its history. He has taught courses in economics, policy, and business at the University of Virginia, New York University, Augustana University, and Georgia State College and University. He was a member of the senior research faculty for the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) and a policy analyst at The Property and Environment Research Center (PERC). His most recent work includes Debating Universal Basic Income (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022) and The History and Evolution of the North American Wildlife Conservation Model (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022).
