Samuel Aponte Chevalier was born in Santiago De los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, in 1997. From a very young age, his parents cultivated in him the habit of reading, an activity that he has loved since then, and it became one of his favorite hobbies. Thanks to this, at a very early age he developed skills that took him to write his first poems and short stories. At fourteen, his love for art led him to decide what he wanted to study and years later he went to drama school at an online university, alternating studies with work. He currently resides in New York, a city he is deeply in love with. "The Boy with the Sad Eyes" is his first published book.
