Silvia Miro Quesada is a Peruvian journalist and author of the children's book entitled "A few days with Bobby" (fanpage: #Unosdiasconbobby). Her inspiration for the book is love and friendship. The story uses fantasy and imagination to talk about cancer to children. Bobby helps to overcome fear of cancer by transforming it into hope and joy of living. Her mother founded the Peruvian Cancer Society. She spent 40 years promoting cancer education. She believed that if people understood the disease they would fight it with early prevention. Silvia is following her legacy. Silvia's parents and her sister died of cancer and she herself is a cancer survivor, twice. She is winning 2:0 thus far. Silvia has memorialized her personal story about living with the disease: good and bad days, chemotherapy, tiny sores which appeared on my mouth and down my esophagus and the turbans she wore to sportingly hide the loss of hair, radiotherapy sessions and her allies in the fight against cancer on a Peruvian blog. This book is a social project which for the benefit of medical professionals, students, and parents from all walks of life. Since publishing the book in May 2017, Bobby has brought joy and optimism to over 200 Peruvian children with cancer.
