Tan Min, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor at the School of Economics of Shanghai University of Finance & Economics, vice chairman of Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations, former chairman of the Chinese Society of Economic Thought History, and former president of Shanghai University of Finance & Economics. His main research areas are the history of Chinese economic thought and the comparison of Chinese and foreign economic thought.
He has won a large number of awards, including the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, and many others for his excellent academic achievement, such as
- the first prize of the Excellent Textbook of the Ministry of Finance and the second prize of the Fourth China Book Award for his co-authorship of The History of Chinese Financial Thought, with Professor Hu Jichuang, a famous Chinese economist supervising his doctoral studies.
