Teresa Mulhern
Dr.Teresa Mulhern has been involved in a wide range of research studies focusing on the application of behavioural strategies to both typically developing and developmentally disabled populations. For instance, she has conducted research on the utility of a Relational Frame Theory-based approach to facilitate class inclusion responding among typically developing three- to four-year-olds and individuals with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Teresa obtained her BA (hons) in Psychology from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2011. She subsequently completed an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2013. She completed her PhD on “Testing and Developing Procedures for Assessing and Training Hierarchical Classification Skills in Young Children Using Relational Frame Theory” at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2017. Teresa teaches on modules including “Core Topics in Psychology” (PS4010), "Psychological Therapies" (PS5013), "Developmental Psychology" (PS6002), “Trends in Psychology” (PS6005) and “Advanced Research Methods” (PS7602). Teresa also supervises students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
