Václav Březina specializes in chemical physics, focusing on NMR and UV/vis spectroscopy and analyses of the spectroscopic data with binding/kinetic models. He obtained his bachelor, master and doctoral degrees at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Václav's research on the interactions of oxoporphyrinogens with organic molecules using spectroscopic methods resulted in several publications. He undertook an internship in the National Intitute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan, where he worked with Dr. Jan Labuta and Dr. Jonathan Hill. Another internship in Leipzig, Germany, in the group of prof. Frank Cichos included study of active Brownian motion in optical tweezers. Currently, Václav Březina works as researcher at the Department of Macromolecular Physics, Charles University.
