Dr. Yu Ye is an Associate Professor of urban design in the Department of Architecture, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, where he directs the Computational Urban Design Lab. He obtained his MSc from TU Delft, the Netherlands, and his PhD at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining Tongji University, he was a Post-doc researcher at the Future Cities Lab, ETH Zurich. Dr. Ye’s research is focused on computational urban design, which involves integrating science, technology, and design. He is currently the principal investigator (PI) of three national-level research grants with a total budget of over one million US dollars. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles in renowned international journals, including Landscape and Urban Planning, Environment and Planning B, and Urban Geography. These publications have been cited for more than 2,800 times (according to Google Scholar).
