I opened the online chat badoo. Nothing can happen through this up to date way to know people. I knew for sure, nothing for me, as I strictly fight against this modern reality, when people plan their live for 10 years ahead and know for sure what color of ayes and level of IQ (as well as occupied position and color of skin) should have their partner. There is no more chance for an admiration, no more chance to feel like a Juliet in ancient novel of Shakespeare. Honestly speaking, nobody still wants to do it. Actually me to.

So Internet communication, I remembered with scary my last online experience. I decided to pass TOFL actually plenty of times I decided lots of things, but almost never got till the end. So I needed a native speaker from US to practice my speaking through natural involvement and I got one, Jonny. First it was a nice and lovely communication. As a result he wanted to call me every day and I was searching an excuse why I couldn’t chat every time, but sometimes answered, as there still being a goal to know English better with no investments.

One day I got a message from Jonny.

Hey, pumpkin, how are you.

Quite well. What have you done today?

I worked (he worked for Apple, so should be a smart one) and that’s actually all I did.

Why didn’t you go to run or to learn new programming language? You have told me millions times you don’t really satisfied with what you do, just follow little steps every day. In some years you will have an opportunity to get some US clients online which provides you a stable income and you will think about instability of the world’s economy somewhere on the Thai beach all year under the sun.

I will pumpkin, I certainly will.

Oh, that’s really good to have a psychologist education. You never argue with me and you are using so “right” words.

I like you, I don’t want to upset you.

So what did you do at work? Example. This week, maybe smth interesting.

Ok. Let me think. Yes. It was a case, when our client – girl had problems with her boy, because he got an access to her photos through ICloud.

Oh it’s a usual story in Ukraine. We even joke: “ Boys present girls IPhones to watch after them”. Seems iCloud synchronization was made in purpose to see geolocation, and know every step of your “IFamyly”.

Oh, really, its not that much in US, actually its not within low.

So how did you help her?

We can only provide information about his activity with her account and she can go to police and provide this information there. And its very strict in US, he will get punishment. For example, if you decide to see the post mails of your neighbor, you will go to the prison.

Really? It was always a surprised to see in American films the mail boxes out of a house, I always thought why nobody afraid the content could be stolen.

Oh, darling, yes, nobody would dare to.

From day to day we had little conversation in this way. My American friend was nice and smart. It was smth new, as he was my first friend from United States and it was nice to know their mentality. I never was admired of this artificial culture, but it was a surprise for me to realize, that here in Ukraine, on a border between East and Europe we have lots common with this uncompromising competition environment. We, who never can rely on our government and be confident in our future that’s why have to rely on ourselves. On other hand, the US, where exists the endless influx of emigrants who are the smartest and industrious, were you have no minute to stop and enjoy life, as you will be out of game.

One day he wrote to me:

Sweet pie, listen, I need a videocall , please answer. I need to tell you smth.

Actually I already felt I didn’t want to know anything of his speech.

Ok. But don’t tell me what you want to tell. No, don’t do it!

I will, darling, listen to me. I like you, I want to make you happy and your smile is the only thing that makes sense in my life through a long period. I am very happy I have met you.
