Chapter 1

INTRODUCTION

T

he children of Israel sinned against God, and God delivered them into the hands of their enemies. Thus, the Israelites became their servants. In addition, because of these Midianites, the children of Israel made themselves the dens, which are in the mountains and caves and strongholds. The Israelites saw that the Midianites, Amalekites, and even the children of the East came up against them, with their cattle in their tents. They came in a multitude like grasshoppers on their camels and destroyed all their increase of the earth, leaving neither sheep, oxen nor asses for them. The children of Israel then became impoverished because of their enemies.

As the Israelites were in terrible afflictions of distress, instead of repenting, they started looking for solutions in a wrong way, by building alters, just like the heathen nations around them. Each family began to build altars. However, their condition got worse even with the altars. After seven years, they cried unto the Lord. Let us see Judges 6:1, 6.       

“And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years… And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD” (Judges 6:1, 6).

When they cried to God, He sent a prophet to them who reminded them of the goodness of God. Yet they despised the Lord by fearing the gods of the Amorites, for who they built altars (see the Book of Judges, 6:11-12)

“And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi–ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour” (Judges, 6:11-12).

The Lord is with many believers today but they do not know. Many mighty people of God today are still serving under great bondage. There are much great potential deposited in many believers today but these believers are still living in sin.

One can have all that it takes to succeed and still fail in life. You can be a mighty man of valour and still fail in life (see the book of Judges 6:13).

Believers should try to find out just like Gideon did through prayers, why they pass through difficulties despite the fact that they are born again. The clear point is that miracles will not come our way until the evil altars militating against our spiritual and physical welfare are destroyed. We need to destroy the evil altars and build an altar unto the Lord our God upon the Rock of Ages (Judges 6:25-27).

An altar can be built to destroy an individual, a family, a group or even a whole nation. Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Koliath, the son of Levi; Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; and On, the son of Peleth; the sons of Reuben, were under a curse.

“Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch” (Genesis 49: 3-4).       

The people who were more than two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly; famous in the congregation; men of renown, gathered themselves together against Moses and Aaron. Every attempt to call them to order failed and Moses challenged their own prayers on the evil altar standing on the holy altar of God.

“And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them” (Numbers 16:15).

When a determined enemy has vowed, and entered into a covenant with evil spirits to kill, if repentance is despised, there must be death. If the righteous person refuses to pray, he may die.

“And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense…“Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah” (Numbers 16:35, 49).

This was an attack against Moses and Aaron, the leaders of Israel. Many true believers are dying today because they refuse to pray the right prayers. Abel died through household wickedness because he refused to pray the right prayers. Many are rendered useless, poor, sick and turned to perpetual servants because they refused to fight evil altars and their evil priests.

There was an altar built by King Jeroboam in Israel, which enslaved many lives there. By the powers of that altar, many people's destinies were caged and amputated. The evil priest, King Jeroboam, ruled the people unchallenged until one day. There came a man of God out of Judah by the word of God. That was the first time the altar and its priest was challenged and put to shame (1 Kings 13:15). Many Christians have not prayed and given challenge to their family evil altars; and that is the reason why they are living below their divine standard. God is waiting for you to take the lead. Many evil priests cannot repent unless they are challenged. Some altars are raised against a whole nation

“And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams. 2And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram” (Numbers 23: 1-2).

Balaam and Balak built altars against the children of Israel when they came out from Egypt. The number ‘seven,’ means perfection or completeness in biblical/prophetic interpretation. The seven evil altars were erected against Israel to make sure that none of them escaped alive.

“And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab… For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations” (Numbers 23:6, 9).

When they summoned the nation of Israel, the people appeared from the top of the rocks. Balaam saw them but could not harm them. The lives of the children of Israel were too hot for him. Instead of destruction, Balaam saw the blessing of God for Israel. Balak was a wicked king, who was determined to finish a whole nation on an evil altar. He failed the first time but asked Balaam to go with him to another place provided the children of Israel were cursed, even if it required cursing only a few of them. His aim was to curse and destroy all of them but when he failed in the first attempt, he then decided to curse some of them.

“And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence” (Numbers 23:13).

When an individual is called on the evil altar for destruction and the evil priest fails to destroy him or her, they (satanic agents) may decide to summon the person's womb (if it is a woman), in order to bring the curse of barrenness on her. Alternatively, they can summon one's eyes, legs, business, certificates, marriages etc. It is very unfortunate to say that many believers' marriages are on evil altars.

Balak and Balaam went to the evil field of Zophim; to the top of Pisgah, and built seven evil altars. The field of Zophim was a place of sacrifice where evil priests consulted demons to destroy human beings, property, and to cage people's destines.

In Zophim, there was an elevated top called the top of Pisgah, where the highest demons were summoned. There, they could locate anybody, place, or thing easily. There, Balak and Balaam built seven altars, offered bullock, and a ram on every altar. When a holy man of God joins an evil person to pray against a child of God, his prayers will become witchcraft; sacrifice on an evil altar. Many churches today are praying against true Christians and churches; thereby, turning their congregations to evil altars. Many well-gifted ministers have allowed the love of money to destroy their ministries, by receiving money from sinners in order to pray against their fellow human beings who are living right with God.

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry no thing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:6-10).

Evil communications corrupts good manners. Nobody can bribe God. You can bribe your pastor to take sides with you to destroy another person but you cannot bribe God. Whenever a man stands with God, prays the right prayers and lives a perfect life of holiness, no power will destroy him or her. The Bible says that the Lord met Balaam and put words in his mouth, and said, go again unto Balak.

The Lord will send your Balaam back to your Balak. That is what we call "back to sender.” What every agent of Satan is afraid of is what God has said about your life. One thing they want to know about a person is what God has said concerning him or her. Once they know the will of God concerning your life, they will fight to take you away from that position. They will make sure that you do not even know what God says about you. In addition, unfortunately, only few people know the will of God for their lives.

“And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder. And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus. And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, what hath the LORD spoken?” (Numbers 23:15-17).

Many enemies, "kings" and "princes" are standing on evil altars by their burnt offerings asking your Balaam what God has said about you. Yet many are not even concerned to know what God is saying at this hour (verse 17). Once your enemies know what God has spoken concerning your life, marriage, business, academics, work, and in fact, your whole future, they will begin to fight. Some people’s files containing what God has said about them are on evil altars and need to be withdrawn.

When Satan knows what God has said about you and you do not know, it is a problem. When your enemies know what God has said about you and you do not know it, is a very serious problem. When you know what God has said about you but you are not to working towards the manifestation, it becomes even worse for you. When God says something good about you but you are a sinner, it becomes a more serious problem. If you are a Christian but what God has said about you is not manifesting, it is also a problem.

What God Said Concerning Israel

“And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, what hath the LORD spoken?  And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain” (Numbers 23:17-20, 24).

Israel shall rise up as a great lion and lift himself up as a young lion.

He shall not lie down until he eats up the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain.

He shall pour the water out of his buckets (Numbers 24:7).

His seed shall be in many waters (Numbers 24:7).

His king shall be higher than Agag (Numbers 24:7).

His kingdom shall be exalted (Numbers 24:7).

He shall eat up the enemy nations and shall break their bones and pierce them through with his arrows (Numbers 24:8, 17-25).

With these wonderful promises, Israel still failed and the people were destroyed on the evil altars (Numbers 23:27-30). Balak and Balaam went to the highest evil altars of their time and deposited Israel and everything concerning the nation on evil altars. The highest evil altar at that time was at the topmost hill of Peor, "that looketh toward Jeshimon." The top of Peor was the habitation of every kind of demon. In addition, evil altar built there could locate a person in any nation of the world in a moment and it had the ability to retain names, blessings and other things. Once summoned there, even if you were not harmed at that moment, your name could be retained there and a monitoring demon released to report you for evil action as you commit sin.

Verse 28 says: “And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor that looked toward Jeshimon.” Jeshimon was the evil bush where Baal worshippers usually went to worship Baal.

Little children and pregnant women were offered as items of sacrifice to demons at the evil altars in the bush of Jeshimon. This was where Balak and Balaam took to the children of Israel spiritually with the princes of Moab. Though the Israelites could not be harmed at that time, they were spiritually deposited there and monitoring demons, (spirits) were released to make them commit sin. These were the demons that should report them to the satanic kingdom in their weak moments. These demons were also to report them for evil action as soon as they departed from righteousness and committed any kind of sin. These were also the spirits that should monitor them and bring "perverseness" in Israel, the spirits that opposed righteousness. These spirits fertilized enchantments and divinations. In addition, unfortunately for the children of Israel, they were ignorant of what Balak, the Princes of Moab, and Balaam had done against them on the evil altars.

Some people who know that evil men are calling them on evil altars do not know how to withdraw their names, blessings, marriages, etc., from evil altars. Some do not believe in deliverance, so they do not mind whatever any man or woman says about them on the evil altars. Yet some people were dedicated and deposited before they were even born. Some were deposited there by "concerned" parents, occult relations, and enemies. Some voluntarily dedicated themselves ignorantly. The enemies of Israel dedicated them on the evil altars.
