Once upon a time, there was a handsome prince called Prince Siegfried, and today was his twenty-first birthday. He was having a lavish birthday party with all his friends and royal family, who were gathered together at the castle for the special occasion.

There was lots of dancing and singing and feasting and entertainment, and the prince was given lots of wonderful birthday gifts. As Prince Siegfried liked to go hunting birds in the woods with his friends, his mother gave him a beautiful well made bow and arrow, crossbow.

Then she said to him, "My son, as you are now a grown man, it is important that you choose a wife. So I am going to invite some beautiful princesses to the castle soon, and I want you to meet them, and see if there are any whom you might choose to marry."

"Mother, I am not ready to get married. I like to enjoy my life and go hunting in the woods with my friends." said the prince.
