Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time, there was a dear girl who was loved by everyone who knew her. Her parents dotted on her, keeping her close to them until she was eighteen years old before letting her venture out into the woods on her own.
This was an important rite of passage for her, since her beloved grandmother lived far into the woods. Her mother and father would always take turns accompanying her to visit her grandmother, which was tedious work as it distracts them from their work. Now that she was old enough, she no longer needed the company and can visit her grandmother more often.
When she was younger, her grandmother gave her a red velvet cap, which she wore wherever she went; hence she was called, 'Little Red Riding Hood', or 'Red' for short.
One day, a few weeks after her eighteenth birthday, her mother called to her and said, "Red, why don't you take some cake and this bottle of wine to visit your grandmother? She's been feeling a little under the weather lately and these will do her good." She placed the said items into a little basket carefully and covered the food and wine with a red cloth. "Quickly set out before the sun comes up so you won't be too hot. Don't run off the path," she continued
"I won't, mother," she assured her mother.
"You know the way, don't you?" her mother asked worriedly, handing her the basket of goodies.
"Of course, mother," Red laughed.
"Take care where you step so you don't fall and break the bottle, else your grandmother will end up with nothing at all. Send your grandmother our love when you see her. Be sure to ask permission before you enter her cottage instead of barging into the door," she advised, knowing that her daughter is very much still a little girl at heart and oftentimes forget her manners.
"I will be fine," she laughed, touching her mother's hand gently to assure her that she could take care of herself.
Her grandmother's house was deep into the woods and isolated from everywhere else at almost a league from the village. Red knew that it would take a good hour before she reached grandmother's house, so she did not try to rush her way there.
The great black wolf followed behind her carefully, keeping his footsteps sound as he did. He need not have bothered, since innocent Red was too preoccupied with her newfound freedom to be much worried about being followed.
When she was half an hour into the path, he decided that she won't have anywhere to run to. He stepped out of the shadows and into her view. Instead of cowering in fear, she looked at him with a confused, naive expression that made him want to ravage her then and there. Yet, he kept himself in check.
"Good morning, little red riding hood," he said with a wicked smile on his face that she mistook for kindness.
"Good morning, wolf."
"Where are you going, so early in the morning?" he asked, his rumbling words making her skin vibrate.
"My grandmother," she answered with a shy smile, squinting to focus her eyes onto the giant naked beast in front of her. His large torso towered over her and when he smiled, his jaw full of teeth confused her greatly, sending a tingling feeling down between her legs.
"What have you got in your basket?" he asked, large paws reaching towards her to flip back the red cloth so he may see what was inside the basket.
She pulled the basket away from his grasp, "These are for my grandmother," she said.
"Your grandmother?" he laughed. "What do you have in it, my dear?"
"Cake and wine," she said. "My poor grandmother is feeling unwell, so mother asked me to bring her some goodies to make her better."
"Where does your grandmother live?" he wanted to know.
"About an hour into the woods," she said with a chirpy smile, "I'm halfway there. Her house is under the three large oak-trees at the bottom of the hill. Surely you've seen it before," she replied.
