Billionaire Playboy Quickie In Office

A crowd thronged the reception area, filling up the normally empty space in anticipation of the billionaire philanthropist who had decided to grace us with his presence today. I hid behind the counter and tried to ignore the buzz of the group of strangers. It was uncomfortable to have to share what I had claimed as my safe haven with these people, who would normally not give us the time of the day.

I worked the reception desk in a small business that usually kept a low profile. It was odd to have a man of such fame and fortune to be here. I wondered what strings the boss had to pull in order to get him to come.

I looked around and marveled at the number of press attention his visit had garnered. Like the company, the event was supposed to be small. I doubt our small office could fit all the visitors who had decided to come today. It was probably his recent involvement in the television show as one of the most desirably bachelors in town that contributed to such interest in him.

Lance Davis, rich, successful, and powerful. Those qualities alone should make him desirable. The fact that he was sexy beyond reason only added to his allure.

I brushed a loose tendril of hair from my face, wishing I had chosen to wear something sexier for the day. Between getting breakfast ready for my husband and packing lunch for the both of us, I barely had any time to get my hair done, much less choose something seductive to wear.

"Sandra?"

I yelped a little as a small hand rested on my shoulder, surprised by the sudden feminine voice that greeted me.

"Sandra, are you with me?" she asked with a wry small, breaking through my thoughts.

"Sorry," I said as I turned to my colleague.

Unlike me, Lindsay was wearing her best dress and perfect makeup. Her hair was done in a perfect braided bun that hairdo models would be envious of. I was struck by a sudden moment of jealousy. Even with her curvier features, I knew that she was desired by many men that walk through the door, especially since unlike me, she lacked that wedding ring on her finger.

I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind and flashed her a smile, "Did you need something from me, Lindsay?"

"Oh, no!" she grinned, "I'm just here so that I could steal a look at Mr. Perfect when he comes in later."

I frowned. "Not you too!"

She giggled. "Don't tell me you aren't even a little interested in Mr. Lance Davis? Isn't he, like, the most desirable man in town right now?"

"Nonsense," I scoffed, for some reason insulted by her insinuation that I would be attracted to a guy just because he's famous... and rich... and sexy beyond reason... I sighed. My heart twisted painfully. Lance Davis was my classmate back in college. After graduating, he had asked me if I wanted to join his team in a new company but I had turned him down as I had been in a relationship with a rather possessive guy back then. I doubt he would remember me now that he's no longer associated with peasants like myself.

"Lost in your own world again, Sandra?" she teased, sitting down in the empty chair next to me.

"No," I lied as I picked up a pen. I started doodling and pretending to be busy at work.

Lindsay left me to myself after that, opting to stare at the door and wait for the man of the hour to show himself.

"Blondie, I need your help," a thick voice whispered from my side.

I jumped at the pet name that I had not heard for a long time. Standing by my side was the epitome of perfection, though heavily disguised in a black hooded jacket and thick black sunglasses. I could recognize that smile from a mile away. The white of his teeth contrasted against his dark skin tone and made him seem like he was the luckiest man in the world to be standing beside me.

Lance had always had a way of making me feel as if I was t [...]
