No part of this book should be considered legal or professional advice. Take everything I say in this book as my opinion and regard it as entertainment.
You are responsible for your action by acting on the views or thoughts shared in this book.
Throughout the book, I talked about the general idea on budgeting solution that bring about financial liberty using various terminologies. I also brought in other related keywords just to escalate our learning.
“Easy Budgeting Solution That Gives Financial Liberty Instantly” is classifying in chapters. In those chapters, instructed steps on a good budget forms the beginning of the book and ending with building a good budget plan by creating your budget and insisting on balancing it.
Each single chapter contributes tremendously to the learning that will make the title of this book a reality to your life.
Knowledge is power and I believe the vast knowledge you’ll derive from reading this book will remain a permanent solution to financial liberty in life.
However, a well-planned budget will help you collect and use information about the day-to-day operations of your business and identify issues before moving on to your business plan. Your budget shouldn't be the guide in your life.
This role is reserved for your goals and dreams. Your budget is a tool to help you achieve those goals and dreams. When reviewing your budget, you should assess whether your budget fulfils this role.
A budget should be a living structure that changes and adapts to your changing circumstances. An over budget is worse than bad clothes; you can change clothes, but the budget is longer.
And just as mismatched shoes can cause blisters, a bad budget can lead to short and long term financial hardship. However, you don't want to change your budget every day. A budget so variable that it changes from day to day is not a budget at all.
There is no commitment and no result for such a budget. It's useless. You want your budget to help you make decisions, not the other way around.
The best timeframe for a sliding budget is monthly. Set your budget at the start of the month and use these decisions to guide your decisions during the month. Trying to use a budget over a shorter period lacks important factors. Your income is calculated every two weeks or (usually) monthly, your expenses are often monthly, so your budget should also include a month.
Start with your monthly income and monthly living expenses. Then enter how much you spend on everything else each month. Everything else includes coffee money, gasoline money, food, hobbies, the gym, debt payments, clothes, dry cleaning, etc. You need an accurate picture of what comes in and goes out. But even a monthly budget shouldn't be changed every month. Your budget is focused on a goal, and those goals last over a month. Whether it's retirement, a new home, vacation, or even buying an entertainment system, you're probably planning more than a month.
Even if a budget uses the month as a timeline, the budget should be used for more than a month to assess its effectiveness. The question therefore remains: when should you revise and revise your budget? It should take at least two months and probably three months to prepare your budget.
The reason why a month is not enough to budget is that the current month can have unexpected or unusual elements. This might be the month you receive an annual bonus. This may be the month you had to pay property taxes. You may have had a hospital visit, car repair, or garage sale.
