Beschreibung

A jaded woman looking for a good time. A man who crushed on her as a kid and hasn’t forgotten their first kiss. An unexpected run-in that promises heartache ... or forever.

Samantha likes to bang a guy’s headboard and take off long before he bangs up her heart. Temptation returns in the form of a Zeus-like, tattooed hunk, the man whose first kiss roused her teenage hormones. His arrival carries the promise for more, but Sam's determination to enjoy a taste—or two—without risking her heart could cost her the chance at finding forever.

Finding Forever is the first title in the Found by Fate series and features a sassy heroine and a nerdy/sweet guy gone bad. If you love captivating stories of self-discovery, fate, and love, buy Finding Forever now!

I had to bag for the new girl, Tessa, at work on Sunday. Her first day, the red-haired, freckled-face needed help with the produce codes. Bob, our manager, was gracious enough to pair me up with her, since I knew my shit backward and forward. I had seniority over everyone but him—and I planned on ousting the ass wipe before year’s end.

Tessa scanned a jug of olive oil. Twice. “Um…Samantha?” She sucked in her lower lip and lifted the bottle my way.

“Yeah, I gotcha.” I stuffed the artichokes that had tormented her seconds earlier on top of the other veggies she all but cried over and moved to assist. Again. A turn of the key Bob had handed over after the first hour of Tessa’s torment, a few taps on the cash register, and she was good to go.

“Thanks,” she murmured as I returned to my station.

After the customer left, I offered a smile. “You’re doing great, Tessa.”

“I studied the codes. Really.” She tried to return my smile, but her lips wobbled. “I-I’m just nervous.”

“No need to be. I’ve got you covered.”

“Thank you.”

The poor girl didn’t wear any makeup. Didn’t do anything with her waist-long red curls, either. Plain and soft-spoken, she had a conservative air about her.

“What do you do for fun?” I asked, twirling Bob’s key ring around my finger.

“Fun.” She half-snorted a laugh under her breath. “Church, choir, and singles group.” Cheeks flushed, she wiped her palms down her black work pants. “I go to the library a lot.”

Nailed it without even knowing the girl. “What do you like to read?”

“Oh, whatever looks good.”

“Uh huh.” I’d bet my paycheck Tessa hid in a dark corner and devoured smutty romance novels.

“Hey, Sam.” Jade, the cashier beside us and my best friend since grade school, tipped her head toward the sliding doors.

I peeked over my shoulder as the scent of the ocean wafted in on a warm breeze. Our weekly super-hot Sunday shoppers ambled in, one blond god, the other, his broody, dark opposite. Both were stacked with lickable muscles and dressed like money.

Tessa sucked in air, and I turned to find her staring at Blondie and Broody.

“Too bad they’re gay,” I said beneath my breath.

Her head whipped toward me. “They are?”
