Answer: Based on the lunar months

For our Gregorian calendar, it is customary for dates to be oriented according to the course of the sun. Easter is different: it falls on a different date every year because the period is based on the lunar months. The fixed rule is that we celebrate Easter on the first weekend after the first full moon of spring. This date can be March 22 at the earliest and April 25 at the latest.

Answer: B

Already thousands of years ago, people observed that with the first warm days of the year the offspring of hares hopping across the meadows and fields. The beginning of spring is heralded by the strong population of hares. This observation has made the hare an ideal symbol of the beginning of spring and a symbol of fertility and new life.

Usually, the Easter bunny is the bearer of the Easter eggs. In some regions of Germany, however, this Easter task has been entrusted to other animal messengers. Which of these animals should bring the Easter eggs in the Hanover area?

Mouse

Pigeon

Fox

Which animal is said to be the bearer of Easter eggs in many places in Upper Bavaria and Thuringia?

3rd answer: C

In 1682, the Easter Bunny as we know it today was described by the Frankfurt physician Johannes Richier in the reproduction of a fable. The spread of the Easter Bunny increased significantly with the beginning of the 20th century. However, until then there were other domestic animals that were believed to have this fabulous task. Especially foxes seemed to be well suited as egg-bringers. Even today, the tradition of the Easter fox is still maintained in some regions of North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony-Anhalt.
