3.For many years, I have created many characters for a comic book that I want to do. In fact, I always wanted to do something like that. I am currently dedicating my time to writing a children's book. Despite the chaos that has occurred in the world, the pandemic has given me that time. Therefore, I am investing all of my academic resources in this project. In parallel, I helped create other characters in partnership with my childhood friend, Jack Zanza.

4. What impact you want to create on this earth?

1.How you get started with art?

your story?

1.Art has caught me since my childhood. I always dreamed of stories of fantastic characters that came to life between colors and lines. Later in college, I had the opportunity to study painting and it was there that I began to undertake this path that today is part of my breathing.

2.What is your inspiration and motivation?

2.I do not think that the appropriate word for my situation is inspiration, rather, it is the language of my soul that shouts out to come to light.

3.What are your recent projects/things on which you are working?

ARTIST STATEMENT

This triad of portraits aims to enhance female beauty understood as sensuality, sweetness, elegance, charm.

The grace of the pose, the movements, the delicacy of the hands that lean on the face and brush the lips. The beauty of the eyes, dark, large, and shiny, the depth of the gaze, sweet,

a

little

melancholy,

almost

mysterious, the softness of the lips.

I chose Arianna as a model for my drawings because I think she can best represent the kind of beauty I describe as refined, seductive at the same time, and never vulgar.

I was trained as a fashion illustrator but now I'm starting to tackle realistic portraits as well. I often invent the faces of my illustrations, but here I wanted to represent something that was as real as possible.

The technique I use in all the drawings in pastel colors. Here for the first time, I wanted to experiment with a black and white portrait done with pastel grayscale.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Hi, I am Chris – an artist from Cologne. My motto is „upcycling meets contemporary art“

and describes my style best. I take old boxes and cardboard, cut or tear them apart and give them a new meaning. Randomly torn and cut cardboard meet pop colors and dazzling characters in my work.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My name is Megan Phillips I'm 22 and I am an artist living in Wales, I've been practicing digital art for about 2 and half years but traditional art has been a part of my life since I was a small child.

Learning to draw digitally is like learning to draw all over again with a completely new set of rules, this is both daunting and exciting. I'm always striving to improve and I'm currently I'm working on learning more about the rendering process and creating an interesting painting texture digitally.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I do the art because I want to express and share the unique feelings I’ve experienced in my life.

Those moments which appear to be tiny and forgettable at first glance but they come back, they grow, they become strong feelings that guide our lives but we are often not able to name them.

So one of my biggest inspirations are Yuri Norstein and his two movies Tale of tales (1979) and Hedgehog in the fog (1975) and movies by Andrei Tarkovsky, especially The Mirror. The poetics and detailed oriented work of these movies are similar to my second inspiration; Czech tradition of animated movies, that inspired even west directors. Břetislav Pojar, who worked for National Film Board of Canada, developed his lyrical style that underlines comical situations and Jan Švankmajer, whose surrealist way shows dark and edgy themes we do not want to face.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I make mostly digital art using my IPad and Apple Pencil and the program Procreate, however, I’m also fond of drawing traditionally.

Character Design is what I mostly focus on and like to draw and paint, but I do like to try something out of my comfort zone - practice makes perfect. I’ve always loved to draw and be creative. It’s my me-time - a way for me to relax and unwind.

ARTIST BIO-My name is Cecilie Knudsen, I’m 22

and from Denmark. I’m studying Digital Design at my university and my ultimate goal is to make a living on being creative and doing something I love. As of now, my biggest achievement is to have a chance to be featured in an art magazine
