Molly’s always been the good girl. She goes to work early. She volunteers for overtime. She pays her bills and never buys anything she can’t afford. She never has more than two drinks in a night, and none if she’s driving. She cooks. She cleans. She’s smart and kind and everyone loves her.
But even Molly is bored with herself. She never lets loose or does anything foolish.
Owen lives life by the seat of his pants. He is constantly trying out new things and having new adventures. He lives life to its fullest and loves every minute.
When the two meet, neither can deny the pull. For once in her life, Molly wants to be reckless. For once in his life, Owen wants to be stable. The solution is easy for both of them. Get married.
What Molly sees as a reckless, fun experience, Owen sees as the beginning of the rest of his life. But can they make their lives mesh or will their inherent natures fight when they Go For It?

About the Author

1

Vegas, baby.

That should be exciting, right? Then why did Molly O’Neill feel like she was going to throw up?

Maybe it was the plane. Or the pre-packaged sandwich the airline fed her. Or the eggs she had for breakfast.

Or the fact that she was planning to go crazy for the weekend.

Molly wasn’t the crazy sister. She was the boring one. The one who dressed conservatively and acted the same. She was the one who men overlooked so they could latch on to Allison. Pretty, sexy, spunky Allison.

Molly wasn’t jealous of her sister. Not really. She just wished she had an ounce of her confidence. That she could talk to a guy without feeling like she was sweating buckets.

She glanced at the seat beside her and breathed a sigh. Owen had finally fallen asleep.

He was a nice guy, but Molly didn’t know him very well. When their friends, Jared and Erika, announced they were taking everyone to Vegas for the weekend to get married, Molly thought it was a joke. But Erika and Jared insisted. Her parents had saved money for their wedding, but they wanted to elope, so they gave Erika and Jared the cash. And they decided to use it to take their friends to Vegas with them.

Which gave Molly the opportunity she was starting to regret as she sat thousands of feet above the ground.

Why did she think their long weekend in Vegas was a chance for her to let loose and have fun? To be someone other than herself? What happened in Vegas, stayed in Vegas, right? That’s what she kept telling herself, but sitting on the plane, she was doubting her sanity.

She had a suitcase full of Allison’s clothes. She was sharing a room with the man next to her, a virtual stranger. And she had a list of crazy things she was determined to accomplish over her weekend.

And more doubts that she had room for in her luggage.

Molly pulled the list from the pocket of her mini-shorts. Allison’s mini-shorts. The ones that barely covered her ass when she was standing and sent a swift breeze headed right up her new thong, and her ass, when she bent over.

Why didn’t she try these things before she decided they were a good idea?

She didn’t have time to worry about all that anymore. She was in the shorts and on the plane and halfway to Vegas. When she got there she’d be fine. She wouldn’t worry about her ass hanging out. She’d just enjoy the day.

And the way Owen’s eyes darkened when they looked at her.

She glanced at her seat mate and soon-to-be roommate again. He was hot. Blonde hair that was a little too long, curling over his collar. Blue eyes, when they were open, that looked like the deepest of oceans. Built arms and legs that rippled with muscles. A broad chest and narrow waist.

He was sexy.

And she was spending the weekend in the same hotel room as him.

Molly really thought Erika was joking about that part, too. Jared’s old roommates, Ben and Mark, both had to work over the weekend and couldn’t get away for the wedding. Erika wasn’t really close to anyone besides Molly and Jenny. Jenny was coming, with her boyfriend, Logan. Logan was also a good friend of Jared’s and was standing up as his best man. But when it became just the six of them, Erika asked if Molly would be okay sharing a room with Owen.

She glanced back down at her list. Have a one night stand glared at her from the page. She nibbled her lip as she looked back at Owen again. He was sexy, but she wasn’t sure he’d be up for a one night stand.

At least not with her.

Molly shook her head and studied her list again. She knew making a list of things she wanted to do to be wild and crazy was counter to the whole idea, but she didn’t want to miss anything. Which was why she made a list.

1. One night stand.

2. Dirty dance with a stranger.

3. Sing karaoke.

4. Free drink from a guy.

5. Make out in public.

6. Go skinny dipping.

7. Strut the strip.

8. Get drunk.

9. Play a hand of poker.

10.

Molly took a deep breath. The blank spot next to number ten glared at her. She wanted her list to even out to ten crazy things. Things she’d never done. Things she never thought she’d do.

Things she always wanted to do.

The ding of the plane alerted her to the pilot’s message before the crackling of the radio came on.

“Thanks for flying with us today. We’re making our decent into Las Vegas at this time. Please stow all electronic devices and any carry-on items that you were using during the flight. We’ll be on the ground shortly.”

Owen shifted in the seat next to her. Molly snatched her list and shoved it back into her pocket, leaning toward Owen. Her shoulder brushed his chest. A hard, rounded, sexy chest.

Molly froze. She wasn’t sure, but she thought Owen did, too. She moved away slowly, pulling her hand from her pocket, the list safely tucked away. She looked up at him, his eyes heavy lidded from his sleep. His hair was ruffled in that sexy way she liked. And he was watching her. Intently.

Owen Nichols studied the beautiful brunette next to him. He didn’t know what god he made happy, but he was grateful as hell for the chance to spend the weekend with Molly.

If only she’d chill out.

“Sorry I fell asleep on you,” he said, pushing a hand through his hair. He’d meant to get it cut before the trip but didn’t have the cash to do it.

Molly shook her head. “No problem. Sorry I ran into you.”

Owen grinned. “Definitely not a problem. You ready for this?”

She rubbed her hands down her legs, looking anxious. He wondered if she was cold, but her eyes said she was more nervous than anything. When she’d walked up to them at the airport in those impossibly short shorts and that sleeveless top that buttoned down the front, Owen about lost it. He thought she was cute when he met her before, but she looked downright sexy dressed like that.

She also looked like she was trying to be someone else, which made him curious.

Owen had only met her a couple times in the months since he moved in with Jared. The first day they met, Molly was dressed like an uptight librarian. It was hard for Owen not to strip those layers off her that day but dressed like this… He wasn’t sure he’d survive the weekend if she went all sexpot on him.

When they made it to the gate, the buzz of excitement filled the plane. Behind them were Logan and Jenny followed by Jared and Erika. The three couples stood and followed each other off the plane. “You ready for this?” Logan teased Jared as they walked through the airport.

Jared elbowed him playfully. “Yeah, I’m gonna make an honest woman out of my girl. When are you gonna do the same?”

Logan shared a look with Jenny and said, “We’re taking the plunge with you. Set it all up online.”

“What? You’re joking, right?”

Logan shook his head with a laugh. “Not even close. We’re ready.”

“Isn’t her family gonna be pissed?”

Logan shrugged. “Not really. We talked to her parents last night. Lizzy’s not thrilled, but she’ll get over it. Vegas isn’t really conducive to bringing the kids.”

“Wow. Good for you, man. When are you guys getting married?”

“Tomorrow. We didn’t want to overshadow your day. Jenny worried it would start something if we did it today. She didn’t want to upset Erika.”

Jared looked at Erika. “She’s pretty easy going. She wouldn’t have cared.”

Owen followed behind them as they kept talking about their weddings. He wanted what they had. Someone to share his life with. He glanced over at Molly and wondered if she could be it for him.

He’d certainly thought about her enough over the last few months. He’d always been attracted to wild women. Women who liked to do crazy things. It fit his personality. But he was ready for some stability. For a woman he could count on. A woman who could settle his own wild ways.

They all found their bags and piled onto a shuttle that would take them to their hotel. Owen knew the only way he was making the trip was because Jared and Erika were paying. He was grateful for their generosity, especially since he hadn’t known them long. Even more so since he could barely afford his rent most months, let alone a vacation.

He and Jared had stayed in touch after he moved out, but they’d still only been friends a few months. That Jared wanted him a part of his wedding weekend was pretty amazing to Owen.

And he was going to make the most of his weekend in Vegas by getting to know Molly and discovering the woman hidden behind the sexy clothes.

At the hotel, they all went to their rooms and agreed to meet downstairs for dinner. After dinner was Jared and Erika’s wedding, but the rest of the afternoon they were on their own.

In their room, Owen let Molly pick which bed she preferred. If he had his way they’d only need one of the two, but Molly wasn’t that kind of woman. He was out of luck for the weekend because he wouldn’t take a woman back to the room he shared with Molly. If he was honest, he wasn’t looking for a one night stand anyway. He’d had enough of them and had grown tired of the game long ago.

Owen realized he was ready. He wanted a family. He wanted someone to share his life with. Watching his friends go in that direction made him want it even more. He just had to pull his shit together first.

“What are you going to do this afternoon?” he asked Molly, hoping he could talk her into spending some time with him.

Molly glanced wildly around the room as though she’d forgotten he was there. She patted her pocket and shrugged. “I don’t know. I, um, have a few things I want to do while I’m here.”

Owen stepped closer. “Anything we can do together? Vegas seems like it’d be more fun with someone.”

Molly’s cheeks pinked and Owen wondered what she had planned for their trip.

“Um, yeah. I was thinking of going to the casino this afternoon. I’ve always wanted to play poker.”

“Really?” Owen asked, not buying it. “You work in a casino. You could play poker any time you want.”

Molly sighed, looking defeated.

“But hey, if you want to play poker, I’m up for it. We can play poker or blackjack or craps or roulette. Whatever you want.”

A spark lit her chocolate eyes as they met his. “Poker. I want to play poker.”

Two hours later, Molly was working her way through her list. She’d already checked off playing poker and getting a drink from a guy. Granted the guy was Owen, and the drink was free since they were playing poker, but it counted dammit.

Owen had left the room so she had some privacy to get ready for dinner and the wedding. It was time to make her move to complete item number seven. Aside from number one, it was the one she was most worried about.

She took a deep breath and grabbed the dress and heels she’d taken from Allison’s closet. In the bathroom, just in case Owen came back for something, Molly pulled on the dress then sat on the toilet seat to work her feet into the four inch heels, far taller than anything Molly ever wore. The skinny heel and back of the shoe were covered in a snakeskin pattern with bright pops of neon yellow, pink, and orange. The same three colors wrapped in bands around the toes of the shoes and high on the ankles.
