Chapter 1: At Home
On a sunny evening, a girl, named Chaandni, was very excited while coming from school. She was excited because her exams had come to an end and her summer vacation had started. While entering her house, she banged the door in excitement.
Her mother, Vishali, who was very beautiful in her teenage but now when she grew up had now become a typical Indian housewife and had two kids, thought that Chaandni’s test papers were not done well so Chaandni was angry. Chaandni was a very studious and curious child and has wanted to become a scientist. She also likes travelling and was a cute smart and beautiful child.Her mother came running towards Chaandni with a glass of water in her hand. However after seeing Chaandni’s face she kept the glass down and asked “What's the matter my child, Chaandni?” Chaandni said that “Mum, I am very excited for my summer vacations, so where are we going this time. You promised me so you can't say no now”. Her mother said “Ok dear, so this time you will decide where to go.” Chaandni was surprised when her mother said this. Her mother was giving her the chance to decide where to go for the first time so she was confused. At first, Bhutan came in her mind, but alas! she had already visited there the last year. So she thought that where else would she like to go. She likes mountains, she also likes rivers, she even likes the places with peace, she likes the pure and clean air and she also likes greenery and animals. She was all confused. Suddenly a lightning stuck her mind that said that why can't she combine all of these together and go to a jungle. So she ran to her mother and said that “Mother, mother, I want to go to Amazon jungle.” Her mother did not wanted to go there as she was concerned about their safety. Just then Chaandni saw a pamphlet lying under the table. She took it out and started reading. It was written on the pamphlet that “We are very happy to say that now you can visit the Amazon jungle safely, the rules are as follows: There can't be more than 12 members including children and adults and an adult can at max carry one child.”
On Chaandni’s continuous request, her mother agreed. Chaandni said that “Mum, can we please take my cousin Parth and Vedanshi’s family as well?” Her mother also felt that it would be a great idea and so agreed. That night when Chaandni’s father Raj, who was very obedient in his childhood, came home, Chaandni’s mother told Chaandni’s father about their decision of going to the Amazon jungle but her father disagreed at first because of office work pressure and because of life risk at jungle. Then Chaandni’s mother said that “You should not take stress for work and should enjoy your life. Chaandni has found a pamphlet lying under the table and we will use that specialized tour to go there, so it is safe for us to go there”. So father had no option left except to agree so he is agreed to it. Then Chaandni’s little sister Devi who was very cute, smart and beautiful came and said that “But when are we going to the Amazon jungle?” They all thought and said together that “The coming Saturday” and so it was decided that they will go to the Amazon jungle on the coming Saturday.
