Beschreibung

Some people take fishing too seriously. Retired Admiral Bobby Burns did, and it cost him his life.

There is no shortage of suspects. His wife, Pattie Grace, is also accused of the murder. Niki Dupre, the most famous private investigator in Louisiana, doesn't believe her former Sunday School teacher could kill her husband.

Soon, the case turns from fishy to dangerous. But who killed the admiral?

CHAPTERONE

Keith and Murray Clement were not the most brilliant thieves in Livingston Parish. They hadn't done well in school. Keith, one year older than his brother, set the example for Murray. His leadership led both to drop out of Denham Springs High School before graduation. He also provided the path to the use of methamphetamines and marijuana.

Though they had no steady employment, the brothers paid for their vices through petty thefts. Nothing big. Tools were easy to peddle on Craigslist. And most couldn't be traced back to the original owners.

Even with their combined acumen in the lowest percentile in South Louisiana, the brothers recognized a golden opportunity. Hurricane Brenda ravished the southern bayous and marshes of the Pelican State with Category three winds as far north as the Mississippi border. Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes bore the brunt of the wide bands of destruction. A mandatory evacuation left the city of Watson deserted.
