1. my beautiful and eventful farm
My name is Magnus, I'm 11 years old and I live in Berlin with my parents and my sister. My sister's name is Susanne, she is 3 years older than me.
Today is my first day of vacation. In the family council over breakfast, we decided to visit a local farm tomorrow. I would love to have a pet, preferably a cat, but it's not so easy in the city. There are lots of cars on the road outside and we're not at home that often. My parents both work. Me and my sister go to a secondary school and we always have so much to learn in the afternoon.
I have only ever been to the farm once with my family. I was only 6 years old at the time. That's why I'm really looking forward to tomorrow!
Today I played with my friends and watched a Disney movie in the evening. Two of my friends also want to visit a farm. The third friend doesn't really understand our enthusiasm for animals. He prefers to live in the city.
The next morning dawns. I'm up at 8 a.m. and make breakfast for my sister and my parents. They get up a little later and are delighted with the lavishly laid table. My sister prefers jam sandwiches, my dad likes breakfast eggs and my mom loves cheese sandwiches. I like to eat bread or rolls with cream cheese and sausage, sometimes with a slice of cheese.
After breakfast, we set off. Dad drives the car. The radio is playing songs on SWR1. Susanne is already busy searching the Internet to find out which animals make which sounds to communicate. I, on the other hand, prefer to be surprised.
