I grabbed onto the hood of the car to steady myself.  Why had I chosen to come out to the garage in the first place?  I couldn’t remember.  I think mom had wanted me to tell him something. 
Daddy walked to the door while still aiming his wand at me.  He bolted the lock so that no one could come and rescue me.  What was he going to do to me? 
Sweat ran down my back, even though I was only wearing a t-shirt and shorts.  There was an air conditioner in there, but it sat lonely in the corner.  It was as if Daddy wanted me to sweat.
“Ok, first things first, Princess.  Tell me your name.”
I didn’t want to answer him.  Why was he asking me my name anyway?  My throat dried up and I shook my head “no”.  I tried to scream, but my mouth just opened and nothing would come out. 
“Tell me your name,” he repeated.
I shook my head “no” again.  He placed the tip of his metal rod to my forehead and locked his intense brown eyes with mine.  His breath was hot and heavy on my face. 
“Holly Stoker,” I said in a low whisper.
“Very good.  Now, whom do you belong to?”
I belonged to myself!  What kind of question was this?  But a small voice inside my head rose up and boomed:
