Therefore, it is important to know what a panic attack really is in order to know what to stop. A panic attack is the most basic stage. Your body reacts to an external source so that it doesn't get too much of it, just like an allergy.

All an allergy is for your body to determine that something innocent like bee pollen or dog hair is actually harmful to you, and it activates its own built-in system to get rid of the object.

With that in mind, if your body activates fight or flight mechanisms in a situation where it is not needed, it is a panic attack. Fortunately, a panic attack like a bee sting allergy or a peanut allergy is not dangerous. Even so, panic attacks are very uncomfortable and not a pleasant experience.

A personal comment I want to make before proceeding with a panic attack is that panic attacks are very common and very normal. Most people have it at least once in their life, there is nothing wrong with you and you are not alone.

When I started having panic attacks I felt like it was something I just had and that something was wrong with me.

I had to do a lot of private research to realize that this is a normal function of your body functioning, that it is not your fault, and that there are steps you can take to help you get through the attacks. Let's start by helping you overcome your panic attacks!

On the other hand, the brief and obvious reactions to panic attacks are caused by high levels of anxiety. But what exactly is fear? Understanding how anxiety arises can help you overcome panic attacks. One of the biggest myths about anxiety is that it's harmful and can lead to a number of life-threatening conditions.

Fear is defined as a state of fear or fear that results from the anticipation of a real or imagined threat, event or situation. It is one of the most common human emotions that people experience at some point in their lives.

Most people who have never had a panic attack or extreme anxiety attack do not have this frightening experience. Extreme dizziness, blurred vision, a tingling sensation and shortness of breath - and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

When these feelings arise and people don't understand why, they feel like they have a serious illness or mental illness. The risk of losing complete control seems very real and, of course, very frightening.
