Princess of the Sun
A shocking ancient tale
of bloodshed and debauchery
It was a steaming hot July day in the vast cornfields on the province of Tapanex in the Aztec Empire, the sky was deep blue and the golden sun gave the growing corn plants strengths as the abundant spring rain had provided nutrition. The patch of my father Ichnogo was doing well and every day I was able to harvest a whole basket full of the golden cobs! Ichnogo in our Nahuatl language meant to be a kind one, and so he was: He loved me with all his heart, but was well aware, that my time with him was limited and would come to an end soon! I was sweating under the blue head scarf he had ordered my to wear all the time, to hide my golden hair from view, because golden hair in this Empire was an abnormality, an aberration of nature, a rarity that could attract much mischief and a good price at one of the many slave markets!
He had told me, that golden girls were only born every hundred years, that they were true daughters of the sun, which was the most worshipped deity in this country under many different names! The Aztecs had more Gods than they could ever keep in mind - most of them depicted as poisonous snakes or evil demons - to maintain the fear in the population and to keep them enslaved for a long life of hard work with hardly any pay. To be born with golden hair could mean a blessing or a curse, he explained to me, and since the mighty murderous Emperor Montezuma had declared himself a God a year ago the signs were not favourable - if I would fall into his greedy clutches he would brutally desecrate my virginity, then probably rip my heart out alive to sacrifice my beauty to the Gods and feed me flesh to the vultures just for fun!
Such stories scared me a lot and I kept my headdress on whenever I was out of bed! Ichnogo but admired me with a religious piety, he said that my hair was spun from pure gold and shone like liquid sunlight, that I was a daughter of the sun! That I was more precious than anything else under the sun: that I was his princess! He loved to brush out my golden locks in the privacy of our humble mud hut at the end of a dusty track. Since my mother had died a decade ago from mosquito fever I was all he had left, and he was always kind to me! The fact that I was growing more beautiful by the month wasn't lost on him, and as my girlish stature was slowly filling up into the luscious body of a sexy young woman was worrying him more and more - and I felt it: rarities like me belonged to the Emperor, and their proper place was at his side or in his bed!
In this land common women had no right to hide their breasts, and simple girls like me only wore a short skimpy cotton skirt around their waist for a hint of decency - women were here to please! In such a male dominated society women had no right and weren't allowed to speak! Women were sex slaves which worked hard during the day and had to satisfy at night, until their beauty had faded away and they were ready to be sacrificed on the stone altars to the blood-thirsty Gods! And if you questioned such an aggressive masculine society you ended up there straight away - so it was maybe better for women to stay silent and to fit in! Girls like me got sold into marriage or as lust slaves after their first menstruation to populate the Empire and to produce proud soldiers or more fodder for the constantly angry and constantly hungry Gods!
Yaotl, the son of our neighbours was as always close behind me in the tall corn field to convey his love to me! He was quite handsome, still adorned by the cheeky side-lock of the innocent youth, and his pleading proposals of marriage were as frequent as the shooting stars in the midnight sky! He was a good kisser and I enjoyed his company: I let him touch my tender breasts and my bulging buttocks and felt well adored. He let me touch his dickel sometimes in the secrecy of the corn forest, and I loved to spill his milk on his belly! Even his dickel was quite handsome, in a rather strange way though for such a clever multi-purpose tool, but it belonged to men like the breasts did to women, and if I ever thought about pleasing a husband one day I better got acquainted with that nasty little animal in time! And the cute Yaotl was the perfect willing victim for my intensive studies of sexuality!
I was happy with all the love I got out here in the fertile fields, but deep in my heart I felt the existence of another destiny than ending up as a corn grower's wife in a mud hut at the end of a dusty track - I was longing to see the big wide world outside of Tapanex, to have more purpose to the people of the Empire than just peeling cobs for them! I had dreams at night of strange towns, of torture and bliss, of which I couldn't make sense in the moment, but knew, that they were visions of the imminent future! And I always saw myself in my dreams all naked without the blue headscarf, my golden locks glowing in the sunlight like liquid fire! And secrets like mine couldn't stay hidden for long in this community of gossiping old women and jealous men!
I had just set down the basket of freshly harvested cobs by the door when I spotted the stranger in the room. He was dressed in the colours of the Emperor: in red and gold, and he wore the royal insignias around his neck: the seal with the eagle carrying the snake in his claws! He introduced himself as Captain Pochtli, a trusted servant of the mighty Emperor himself, and he was bowing deep before me! He wore his hair in a pillar on top of his head as proof that he had killed many men in battle! He explained to me, that the astronomers of the court had predicted my birth precisely already years many ago, and that he was personally given the difficult task to find me, to take me for an audition with the godly Montezuma himself! He was seemingly pleased with the fact that I was looking rather more interesting than a common corn peeler's daughter, and he smiled at me like a the naughty boy he still was: full of mischief!
