Introduction

Throughout the book, I talked about the general idea on the healthier caregiving method for aging parents using various terminologies.  I also brought in other related keywords just to intensify the learning.

In continuation, the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) and AARP have released research messages about “Caregivers in the U.S. 2020 increased by 9.5 million between 2015 and 2020 to a total of 53 million people, including more than one in five Americans.

In 2019, about 16.5% of the American population was aged 65 years or older; this number should reach 22% by 2050. This is a net increase compared to 1950, where only 8% of the population was 65 or older and globally, there were 727 Million people aged 65 and over in the world in 2020, and by the

Aging is an inevitable process. Fortunately, there are things you can do to give yourself the best possible chance of staying healthy and happy as you age. You can start learning healthy lifelong habits, preferably at a young age.

Stays emotionally fulfilled and stay sharp by doing things you love and investing in strong friendships. You can also look your best by taking care of your skin, hair, nails and teeth.

No one wants to face the fact that their parents and other family members are getting older. It's scary and stressful, and it can seem like a daunting task to plan or take care of them.

However, you can see that your elderly loved ones are healthy, happy and secure with a little planning and help. Some older people will be resistant to care. Older people lose their integrity, mental agility and physical prowess, so they may struggle to maintain some control. Choose a time when you are both relaxed.

It becomes easier to have an honest conversation when there are no other tensions. If you encounter a lot of resistance, use friends and family to help.

Do not say things like "Zo and he said you had a problem with x" as this will cause incorrect communication. Instead, make friends or let them know you started these conversations.

Use positive words instead of words that make them feel handicapped - "client" instead of "patient" or "friend" instead of "caregiving".

Elderly caregiving job is an increasingly paid activity in American society, so your ability to distinguish between much of the myth and the fact of providing elderly caregiving is important. See if you can know useful resources for aging information. Isn't the number of informal caregivers small? As stated above according to National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) and AARP.
