CHAPTER 1: UNDERSTANDING DEMONIC STRONGHOLDS

In spiritual warfare, it's very important to know what we're fighting for. A stronghold is a fortified spiritual area where the enemy has taken control, not just one sin. It's an attitude, behavior, or habit that goes against what God says is true and keeps you in chains. Strongholds can affect every part of life, from relationships to money to spiritual growth to emotions.

The apostle Paul talks about this in 2 Corinthians 10:3–5. "We do not fight with the flesh because we walk in it. Our weapons are not sensual, but powerful through God to overthrow strongholds. We bring all thoughts to obedience in Christ and cast down imaginations and everything lofty that exalts itself against God's knowledge."

Repeated sin, like lying, sexual immorality, or rage, often leads to strongholds.

Bad agreements include ungodly promises, occult rituals, and negative beliefs about oneself.

The first step is to find these strongholds. Do you see patterns of anxiety, hopelessness, or defeat that happen over and over again? Doesn't just praying break some bad habits? These often mean that a fortress is nearby.

The good news is that you can destroy strongholds. Luke 4:18 says that Jesus Christ came to set people free from prison. His name is greater than any evil power.

CHAPTER 2: PREPARING FOR BATTLE: THE ARMOR OF GOD

Sword of the Spirit: Actively using God's Word in prayer.

Before saying the war prayers, take some time to think:

Repent: Acknowledge your own sins and break any deals you may have made with the enemy.

Forgive: Don't hold on to anger; if you do, devils have a right to it.

Make sure you are in charge: Say, "I have been given authority over all the power of the enemy," as Luke 10:19 says.

Spiritual preparation is like sharpening your blade before a fight. A soldier who is ready is a winner.
