This book was adapted using a collection of essays and poems I have written over the years, it is not meant to be truth, only to serve as a poetic account of my imaginations about a reality of the world.
This book is made up of a collection of essays and poems about my observations about the nature of religion and worship. This book is dedicated to my mother Caroline, also to my love Shannon, as well as all the wonderful women who helped and are helping to bring me up. The women in our societies are rarely praised for all they do and they do more for us than we even realize. This book was primarily written to elevate the woman who needs no elevation in her eyes but in ours as beholders of her. I believe if we can elevate the status of a woman to the highest level, we will elevate all that comes from the woman, which is the human race.
“every woman was once a flower- tender, still are.”
I was born in Lagos, Nigeria during a time of unrest- specifically the reign of Sani Abacha. The year I was born, Nigeria was suspended from the commonwealth for the execution of social activist Ken Saro-Wiwa. Now stories like these could go on forever but this is not a book about history, especially not about history. There is powerful poetry in the word 'history', because I have found that history is nothing more than “His Story.”
I know, what does that mean exactly? This idea is only acceptable to you when I remind you that most of all recorded history has been by males, as well, the history we teach in schools are mostly of the account of dealings between men- and for the most part, all it has led to was countless WARS. History has never been peaceful because there never has been peace since the emergence of the testosterone that produces males. I point out the poetry in the word 'His Story' but it pales in comparison to the history (should be called herstory) of the woman that is veiled beneath frail garments.
At what point did herstory become history? To answer this I have to take you back to the beginning. Don't forget, this is still the introduction! The reader must yet understand key aspects of my life in order to see why maybe I could have reached the conclusions I did.
