The heraldic comrades of the Brochwicz coat of arms.

Die Wappengenossen des Brochwicz Wappens.

The coat of arms is a stag, originally probably black in a silver field; but there are different variations of the picture as well as the colors. It is native to Poland before 1300 and was called Opole in Lesser Poland, but Nialko in Greater Poland . The ancestral seat of the family was probably the village of Nialko near Wollstein in the Grand Duchy of Poznan. A sex - branch was called Brochwicz (led the deer black with red horns, terminated the left bar, the right with four ends), settled at an early stage of Poland in Silesia, calling themselves there later Brauchicz and Brauchitsch. After the names Opole and Nialkobecause of change of ownership of the sex were forgotten, the name Brochwicz , but also the name Jelen (the deer) came in their place. Changes to the coat of arms are mentioned by the heraldists, under - burial of a special number :

a) Brochwicz I. In a silver field, a red stag running with a golden crown around its neck; Home decorations: a peacock - tail. The Sobek do the same.

b) Brochwicz II.  Like the Brochwicz I coat of arms , only the red or black stag does not have a crown around its neck; Helmet decoration: a peacock's tail. This is what the:

Borna from the Doliwa coat of arms . Neither Paprocki nor Okolski wrote about it. Jan Henryk Borna in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, [p. 246] from Niewieścińska , had a son, Jerzy, and two daughters, one with Wawrzeńc and the other with Stefan Zaleskie , said. I do not know whether these are not those of Bornowski Piotr, a member of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in the Lublin Sejm in 1,569. signed the union with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Constitut . fol . 172. MS. They are attracted by the Brochwicz coat of arms over Prussian families .

Broszkowski , Brochwicz coat of arms 2do . Neither Paprocki nor Okolski wrote about it. Broszkowski Melchior, on whom the constitution of 1602. fol . 807. Bryszkowski , Brochwicz coat of arms 2do . Okolski wrote them Bruszkowski , I already mentioned the Broszkowski family with the same coat of arms: After all, I read Bryszkowski , Brochwicz , the canon of Przemyski , the pastor of Krosieński , who was a member of the Krontribunal in 1683 and 1686 .

Burgrafski vom Brochwicz 2do coat of arms . Jan Burgrafski from this coat of arms flourished at Ostrog in 1680 . Paprocki and Okolski did not write about it.

Destrahan des Brochwicz 4to coat of arms . I put this coat of arms under Litera . B. here I add that this gem is his own Destraban from England that has been given to us. Jędrzej Destrachan had [p. 339] Burgrafska Marianna, from Wiktoria, a nun of Sr. Klara in St. Jędrzej in Cracow; and son Hieronim in Soc . Jesus: from the second wife of Anna Laskowska , son Jerzy.

Dubaniewski vom Brochwicz 2do coat of arms in the Przemyśl region . Only Paprocki writes about it in the nest of virtues. but apparently he's wrong.

Goiszowski , Brochwicz 2do coat of arms , with this coat of arms I saw a mourning banner in the church in Jędrzejów , Maciej Goiszowski née Goiszowski , a knightly husband from 1640. His gravestone was written by Starowol . in monum . Paprocki and Okolski did not write about them, but he first mentioned that Goiszewska was behind Tomasz Leniek Rokicki . Paweł 1648. Teresa Swordnikowna Lwowska , was behind Aleksander Ossoliński , Geneal . Belzec . a teacup in Żydaczewski .

Goszczewski from the Brochwicz coat of arms . Małachowski and Kuropatnicki mention this .

Grabania from the Brochwicz coat of arms in the Krakow Voivodeship comes from Dobrótsz . Of which Stanisław 1577. Acta Castren . Sandec . Feliks had sons Zygmunt and Jakub, Jan joined Elżbieta Trembecka for a lifetime. Acta Castren . Sandec . 1615. Stanisław , Krzysztof and Zygmunt Grabani 1705.

Brochwicz 1mo coat of arms . According to Okolski's description, a red deer climbs upside down in a white field as if in a quick rush behind the driven ones, a crown on its neck and peacock feathers over its helmet. But in the book about Polish jewels I read that there should be a white deer in a red field. This coat of arms is used by the Lubelskie Voivodeship : a Petrasancta cap. 54. Witness that in Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany many houses with the deer in their coat of arms are in bloom. Nobody uses this coat of arms on this occasion, only Okolski adds that it was brought to Poland from Germany. I don't read families that would seal it, only Sobków from Sulejów , which I will talk about in my place.

Brochwicz 2do coat of arms . A deer with its head turned on the right shield, with no crown on its neck. Our Ms. Petrasancta cap. 53. mentions that in the house of the Hirschberks in Franconia a stag bears its coat of arms on a silver tai- ch : and in earlier times the Duchy of Lorraine used a deer with golden horns. [S. 296]

Herbowni .

Bryszkowski , Burgrafski , Dobrocieski , Dubaniewski , Goisowski , Grabanowie , Kątski , Korczyc , Orzelski , Palęcki , Podkański , Polomski , Pruszkowski , Szalowski , Trembecki Victor, Witowski , Wojakowski , Zielenski .

Brochwicz 3tio herb. Paprocki and Okolski did not write about him. There is one half of a golden deer with horns and forelegs to the right of the current or emerging gold in the field, the city in the back of the deer part of the moon, not full, crooked on the new moon, in the middle of it a gold star. Peacock feathers on the helmet, the moon with a star and supposedly the same coat of arms. I saw this coat of arms described in this way on the banner in the Church of the Fathers. Franciscan in Krosno , Joachim from Kralice Ślaski , who died in 1606. See the same thing and say the same thing with the coat of arms of Regina from Oświęcim Kralice , mother of Stanisław Oświecim , the founder of the Oświęcim chapel, in Krosno am OO. Franciscan. Petrasancta doesn't put on a similar coat of arms, just a cap. 54. fol . 367. The Maffeyi in Rome is described as a stag leaping out of a blue field, but a city of the moon and stars. gird with him gold and silver [p. 297] that the coat of arms of the Ślaski family is the same as long as they have settled in Podgórze near Hungary and that they have previously moved to us from there; What was said about the moon may have come from a mistake - half a circle was interpreted as not a full moon, and the wheel hub was interpreted as a star. The same coat of arms is the Palfiuszów de Erdead in Hungary, the horned deer jumps out and with the hub, as I saw in a panegyric in Vienna, which Paulo Palfi was issued to the imperial adviser in 1646. In Poland I don't see it being used by other houses, only by the Silesians.

Brochwicz 4 is a coat of arms . Neither Paprocki nor Okolski wrote about him. A stag of his color on a red shield turned to the right head as if lying, but with the right foreleg as if raised, other legs still bent, five white ostrich feathers over helmet and crown. Brought this coat of arms to Poland from England and there is evidence of it; because our Ms. Petrasancta cap. 54. fol . The 365th admits that the Hartillions in the Kingdom of Great Britain use such a deer as described here, just a silver shield. Here in Poland the Destrahanas you will read about on your website are proud of this gem.

the coat of arms of the star (vol. 4, pp. 337-338)

The stars of the coat of arms. Only Fr. Koyalov about this coat of arms . in MS. he writes that there should be three stars in the blue field and four ostrich feathers in the helmet, it is not useful for anyone to seal themselves with this coat of arms. John Walety founded the King of France with his cavalry in 1352. The number should not exceed fifty: these will collapse, Equites stellae , and because they wore a star with this inscription on a gold chain, Monstrant Regibus astra viam was dedicated to this ordo to the three holy kings who came with gifts to the born Christ. P. Bonani Ordin . Eques . fol . 110. Various houses and coats of arms are proud of their stars as coats of arms of Sztenberg , Bekiesz , Guldensztern , Leliwa , Andrault , Ancuta , Brochwicz 3tio, [p. 338] Cielątkowa , Fogelveder , Trzywdar , star with cross, Newlin , Orla. Three stars a month and others that are discussed in its place.

Łączyński from the Nałęcz coat of arms . The house under this name in Poland is ancient and well deserved, especially famous for its knightly works. Paprocki and Okolski were silent about her. And Baranowski in MS. Coat of arms in the Grabie , but incorrectly attributed. In Krakow I saw the coat of arms of the 1st Kościesza , [p. 187] 2. Nałęcz and only 4. Grabie (I couldn't make out the third for the age in the tenement house of the chateau, which was repaired by Jan Łączyński , then Burgrave von Krakowski. Now from a Nałęcz tied to a shield red field, and in a helmet with a peacock tail that comes out of the crown, between deer horns, they honor each other, I understand that it is not for another reason, but that of Jan Tański , the crown initiator associated with this house in MS. Samuel. Łączyński , a young bachelor, courtier of Zygmunt I, King of Poland, and in his more peculiar sense; during the wedding of the same monarch, a Swedish bachelor who made fun of Polish dance suddenly challenged him to a duel in which he was injured in the head by a Swede, if not harmful, but this time by a passionate Samuel attacked the Swede so violently that he went with him had cut off the head from the neck in a cut. What if "a secret riot broke out between the bachelors in the royal chambers and the king saw it to find out what would have happened, who earlier ordered Łączyński to be called so that he could get everything through him?" This one circumstance was confused, had forgotten the wound, from which a lot of blood dripped down his face, rushed to the master, as the king was amazed, and had guessed the cause of the disturbance between the bachelors. Without asking him anything for this time, he quickly gave him a white handkerchief which he wiped from the sweat for this time so that he could wipe the blood from the wound with it, i.e. H. He would tie the wound. So this Samuel Łączyński , as an eternal sign of the Lord's favor towards himself, the city of Kościesza , the white Nałęcz , began to use it for the coat of arms. And it's practically the same MS. Tański , descended from this Samuel, and others from Nałęcz to usually seal themselves. After all, some of them, the ancestors of their Kościesza jewel, were mainly used as I saw them in Krakow. How do you know that the old Kościeszów and the later Nałęczów Łączyńscy are home? also adds Tański in MS. that he himself had Joanna Łączyńska behind him, whose father Maksymilian had Kościesza and Nałęcz as coats of arms on a shield . You wrote from a long time ago, and wrote from Nowy Łączyno in the Ciechanów country : As your old transactions in different provinces, in different cities and in particular, this is evidenced by Genelogica Deductio Generosi Joannis Francisci Łączyński , de armis Nałęcz , a Nova Łączyno , in Terra Ciechanoviensi shown, which I will talk about below. I have already set the first one here [p. 188] of the aforementioned Jan Łączyński , Burgrave and writer at the time for the City of Kraków and the State of Przemyśl . Since he was highly educated to advise in the most difficult matters, thoroughly and perfectly trained in the right wing of his mother country, he had a special respect not only for the kings, but also for the entire mother country. The homeland used it for various public functions, particularly as a member of general assemblies and Polish monarchs at their courts. he is mentioned in Konstytucje najrzód in 1587. fol . 409. under the title: Confederation of the Province of Cracow, which he signed with the title of Writer of the City of Cracow and again in 1589. Constit . fol . 816. where his home deputy to correct the rights of the crown. The same Jan wrote: Compendium Judiciorum Regiorum , seu Curiae 1594. Jan Franciszek Łączyński from Nowy Łączyński , the Gostyński-Stolnik , whose genealogical conclusion I mentioned above, cousin of Jan, the Landschreiber of Przemyśl , and the City of Krakow, a husband with great understanding and heart, a captain of his whole life in the service of his homeland in the Polish Army; He was associated for a lifetime with Cecylia Tańska , Jan Tański , the instigator of the crown, daughter of the Nałęcz coat of arms , two of whom grant him sons, MS. this: Jan Tański . Wincenty, the heir of Nowy Łączyno , whose son Wojciech, née Jadwiga Pokrzywnicka , left only two daughters, Jadwiga Walerian Bukowski and Konstancja Wojciech Rudziński , married and shared his father's inheritance in 1569. Acta Castren . Ciechan . Bogusław Wojski from Warsaw, his son Ludwik, née Anna Obrembska , died of his son Piotr, the then Cupbearer from Różański . who earned a great name in Ruthenia and the Ukraine through knightly works, where he married, bought inheritance in the provinces of Ruskie and Kiev and settled. Back to Geneal . Derive. admits his son Hieronim Stanisław or Mikołaj Hieronim Stanisław (because [p. 189] his own transactions give him the first name Hieronim Stanisław , the second time Mikołaj Hieronim Stanisław , Acta Castren . Kijovien . 1550., the Kiev ensign and general protector and commissioner of the Crown treasury in the Ruthenian province; he was famous and convinced him with great acceptance in his homeland for his special valor and courage on various occasions against the enemies of his homeland. And especially against the Swedes in Kircholm with the hetman Chodkiewicz , where, as a Horse under him was killed, the enemy impulse on foot continued until the hetman's reinforcements arrived; with whom, when the horse was exposed to him so violently with wounds and gunshots that he had not noticed at the time, attacked the enemy until he after his escape was victorious for a mile or two and lived in a lifelong relationship with Marianna Gadomska from the Rola coat of arms that he reformed; He wrote down six hundred Lithuanian feet of money, 60 Lithuanian grosze each and 600 Lithuanian grosze each, counting the same amount against the dowry and another, six hundred Lithuanian feet and a higher number against the parable. Acta Castren . Kijovien . 1611. The first of them, Zygmunt Łączyński , the treasurer of Sandomierski , and then the Krakow Stolnik . His son Kasper, a teacup from Cracow (as I read with this title in a letter from his father’s sister, a nun of S. Franciszek in Cracow with Ś. Jędrzej , to Maciej Łączyński , a colonel in the Polish army Kasper spent his whole life in military service, deserving the name of the top bachelor in chivalry and always pawning with his breasts in obvious and violent dangers his entire homeland, especially near Muntwami where he dismounted from his horse at the first fire he led People on foot against the enemy. Most embarrassing was that he put several of his leaders in the dead with his own hand. He married Barbara Werecka in a lifelong friendship, who bore him two daughters, Zofia and Regina, and seven sons, from which: 1. Martin, as a young man, poured life and blood for his country. 2. Stanisław . 3. I believe the second son of Hieronim, the Kiev standard- bearer, Piotr, a cupbearer from Lviv who lived for a short time, left a child in his childhood, Mikołaj von Skniemowska , who was under the care of Mikołaj Skśmieowski , the heir of Skniemów as natural guardian; For the transactions of the heritages of Kutkorz in the region Lvov , by a natural Tutorem et Avunculum originate, is Mikołaj Łączyński around 1585 this Mikołaj Łączyński attributed. This Mikołaj Łączyński was a writer from the Crown Treasury . his son Andrew, a warrior and bachelor, was called on several occasions, particularly against Moscow and the Swedes; He was reunited with Narajowska for a lifetime , one of whom was one for many, a son

Józef, the first in science to be polished for military service in the foreign author's office in the royal infantry regiment immediately from his youth, applied; where he soon became a colonel in that regiment for beautiful bachelor virtues. Władysław IV. Has experienced his loyalty and valor. The King of Poland gave him the opportunity to defend a fortress or a Kudakowski castle, the fortress of which he miraculously defended because the entire army was admired and the enemy could not be stormed [p. 191] she could endure; whom he frequent, with the obvious gamble of his own life, excursions, happily rebuking, not only to withdraw from this fortress, but also compelled to flee miserably; and then him in the open, always pursued by the victor and entangled or entrenched in various strategies , and in places according to human opinion, not well nourished, he invaded bravely, he took courageously, he conquered effectively and he always forced them to face it Subjugate the king and his land and remain loyal to him. However, on one certain bloody occasion, against the rebelling Cossacks who were particularly vigilant to take him alive, he did not first fall into his hands until his hand was almost caused by a fatal wound to defend himself, which he laid first if a dozen dead in the square, whom they had captured at the time, as if they were overjoyed with the victory, they stopped fighting. And when they had him in their hands, some of them wanted as little as possible to tear his flesh to pieces. After all, as a fat and cruel nation, he had so much respect for such a great bachelor that he had such a death that was already defenseless. He did not allow himself to take his life, but yes, having placed an almost fatal wound in his hand, as if by humanity, he kept alive, but out of stubbornness in indiscreet and rude, out of the instinct of hostile Moscow , he held him captive, neither for hetmans and royal demands, nor for considerable sums or in exchange for his own, in captivity to our relatives he would not give up. From this captivity, however, with the providence of God, he escaped happily, not to his own property, from the enemy to the ruins, but to the camp, with the great joy of the whole army, he returned. Shortly afterwards he started new skirmishes with the Tatars, reprimanding them everywhere and taking away the harvest, of which he was terrible that they missed a certain loss where they had to stumble with him, had to think of him (they had From that time the Cossack brothers they learned that this invincible warrior against them is subject to no mortality due to the human
