In a world devastated by the Collapse, a group of survivors journey through the dangerous and desolate landscape in search of a new home. Along the way, they encounter communities of people who are banding together to create a new world from the ashes of the old. From the Last Skyland, a sprawling metropolis built atop a series of massive floating platforms, to the Sable Woods, a forest that seems to hold the key to the future, they discover a world of wonder and danger, of hope and despair. But as they journey deeper into the unknown, they begin to realize that the greatest threat they face may not be the hostile environment or the ruthless bandits, but the dark secrets that lie buried in the hearts of those around them. A gripping tale of survival, friendship, and betrayal, this book will take you on a journey you will never forget.

The Collapse

The world as we knew it came to an end in a flash. It was a moment that would be etched in our memories forever, a moment when the sky turned red and the ground shook beneath our feet.

I was just a young boy at the time, living in a small village in what had once been the United States. My parents were farmers, and we lived a simple life, growing our own food and relying on the land to sustain us.

But on that fateful day, everything changed. The Collapse had arrived, and with it came a wave of destruction that swept across the globe, leaving nothing in its wake but chaos and ruin.

At first, we thought it was just a storm, a freak occurrence that would soon pass. But as the hours turned into days, and the days turned into weeks, it became clear that this was no ordinary disaster. Something had gone terribly wrong, and the world as we knew it was gone forever.

The power grids had failed, communication networks were down, and transportation systems were paralyzed. People were cut off from each other, unable to coordinate a response to the disaster. Those who had the means to leave the affected areas had already fled, leaving behind the poor and the vulnerable to fend for themselves.

As the world fell into chaos, people began to hoard resources, including food and water. They became increasingly desperate, and it was not long before violence broke out. The Collapse had unleashed a wave of violence and desperation, and it seemed like everyone was out for themselves.

My family and I were not spared from the chaos. We had no choice but to flee our village, leaving behind everything we had ever known. We traveled for days, walking along roads that were now empty and dangerous, scavenging for food and water along the way.

It was a brutal existence, with each day bringing new challenges and dangers. We encountered groups of people who were also on the move, some of them armed and dangerous. We saw cities in ruins, and we heard stories of entire regions that had been wiped out.

But even in the midst of all this chaos, there were glimmers of hope. We met other survivors, people who were banding together to try to rebuild their communities and to create a new world from the ashes of the old.

I remember one man in particular, a grizzled old veteran who had seen the worst that humanity had to offer. He took us under his wing, teaching us how to fend for ourselves and how to navigate the dangerous world that now surrounded us.

And though the days were long and hard, there was a sense of camaraderie that began to emerge among the survivors. We were all in this together, all fighting for a common cause: survival.

Looking back now, I realize that those early days were the most difficult of my life. But they were also some of the most formative, shaping the person I would become and setting me on a path that would lead me to places I never could have imagined.

As I stood there on the edge of the Last Skyland, looking out over the world that had once been my home, I felt a sense of sadness and nostalgia wash over me. But I also felt a sense of pride, knowing that I had been a part of something truly remarkable, something that had changed the world forever.

The Collapse had been a tragedy, but it had also been a catalyst for change. It had forced people to come together and to think about what kind of world they wanted to build. And it had paved the way for a new generation of thinkers and visionaries, people who were not content to simply survive, but who were committed to building a better world for themselves and for all of humanity.
