The noble Polish family Doliwa.

Doliwa ( Doliwczyk , Doliwita , Tres Rosae ), in the Middle Ages the name of the knightly family and the noble coat of arms used by this family,in modern times the name of the heraldic noble family and the coat of arms led by this family (clan).

In the azure field a silver stripe inclined to the left with three red roses on it. In ajewel between two black trumpets, three red roses in a pillar.

The creation of the coat of arms

More precisely, the etymology of the denomination of this coat of arms comes directly from the name of theLivoniantribe living inLivonia - the north-eastern areas of present-day Latvia. After the capture of Liwów and neighboring Kurówby the Sword Knights - during the so-called Northern Crusade 1206 - 1207 these peoples were forced to accept the new faith and submit to the will of the invaders. Traces that we find in Polish geographic names, e.g. B. Liwiec , Liw , indicate the settlement of Liwsin our countries from the time of the great migration of peoples . The coat of arms itself appeared previously in Western Europe and probably came to Poland from Germany.
