Armando Cristóbal. Narrador y ensayista. Inició su obra literaria en 1961. Es considerado uno de los iniciadores del movimiento de la moderna literatura negra en Cuba. Novelas y cuentos suyos han obtenido premios y menciones, y han sido traducidos a diversos idiomas. Entre sus más recientes publicaciones, en 2003 apareció en España su libro de ensayos Literatura y sociedad en Cuba. He is considered one of the pioneers of the modern black literature movement in Cuba. Some of his novels and short stories have received awards and mentions and have been translated into different languages. Some of his most recent books are the collection of essays Literatura y sociedad en Cuba. Seis aproximaciones (Spain, 2003) and the Cena con Buda (Cuba, 2012).
