What a wonderful summer day. The sun was shining and the two brothers Pablo and Diego had school-free and enjoyed the day at the nearby playground. Sofia, the black-and-white speckled hound, was not far from them in the meadow. "Luckily there is no school on Saturdays," said 6-year-old Pablo, fearlessly climbing the tower to the slide. "Take care of yourself," his father Alejandro shouted after him, but Pablo's mind was so focused on climbing that he ignored his father's words. His 8-year-old brother Diego, however, sat next to his father on a bench and said nothing. "Hey Diego," his dad nudged him, "what's wrong with you?
Do not you want to slide or climb? "" Nope, "the answer came back promptly," I do not feel like it. " Alejandro took his son in his arms. "Hey, big one," he said, "you seem to be somewhere else, hm?" Diego looked at his dad sadly. "Listen," Alejandro finally said, hugging his son tightly, "no matter what, I'm here for you and your brother. You are the very best in the world! And just because Mom and Dad are not together anymore does not mean that the happy times among us men are over now, quite the contrary! "Suddenly Alejandro jumped up from the bench and shouted," Hey, great, come on yes, who's first at the climbing tower wins! "
Diego jumped up and sprinted, even before his dad even understood that it was starting. He sped toward the tower at a monkey pace, causing his dad to struggle to keep up. Sofia had also noticed the race of the two and ran joyfully towards the runners. "Won!" Diego shouted as he reached the finish far in front of his father. "Not bad, my big one," his dad had to confess, but next time I'll get you, promise! "
After about 2 hours the trio did not feel like it anymore and started slowly on the way home. They fooled around while Sofia was a bit. Suddenly she seemed to have discovered something and ran. "Hey Sofia," shouted Pablo, "where are you running?" But Sofia just kept going. She did not turn around, sharply turned left onto a vast field that ended in an opaque forest. The three of them sprinted as fast as they could and tried to shake Sofia by calling him to stop.
But in vain. After only a few minutes, they could nowhere more discover the hound. They hurried to the spot where they had last seen Sofia. "Where is she going?" Diego asked. Standing at the edge of the forest, they listened to the peaceful forest. "Sofia?", Pablo shouted, "Sofia, where are you?" "Wait," Diego whispered, "I think I heard something. The three listened for a moment and in fact, not too far away they took a rustle. They went deeper into the forest and tried to locate the rustling.
"This way, I think Sofia is here," Pablo shouted, leading the way. His brother was right behind him and his father was close behind them as well. Suddenly the two boys stopped "Up there!", Exclaimed Diego, "I think there she is! There, in the hole! "Diego pointed to a hole in the ground about three meters away. "I hear you! She must be in the hole! "Now Pablo and Alejandro heard the soft whimpering of an animal.
Alejandro squatted in front of the hole and called to Sofia. Now her whimpering was clearly audible. "Sofia!", Alejandro said, "come here, get out of there!" You could tell how the dog was trying to get out of the hole, but something was obviously blocking it. Alejandro bent as far as he could with his upper body into the hole to get an overview. "Oh dear," he sighed, "it looks like Sofia is stuck in it!" "And what do we do now?" Pablo asked anxiously.
The otherwise so fat Pablo swallowed. Sofia was his one and only. He loved his dog idolatrously. And now his hairy friend was stuck in a hole under the earth and apparently did not make it out of his own power again. "Guys," Alejandro told his sons, "Sofia needs our help. Diego, do you dare to run home alone to get some water, a bit of food, a shovel from the garden, and a long leash? "
"Sure, dad," the 8-year-old retorted. "Alright," his father replied, "we try to liberate Sofia ourselves. But if we can not do it alone, we have to ask the fire department for help. So Diego, run and get the things from home. In the meantime, Pablo and I are trying to dig a bit in Sofia's direction. "
Diego immediately made his way home. It was still light and Diego knew the way very well, as this was his way to school. After a few minutes he reached the house. Someone was standing in front of the door and had apparently just rung the bell. When Diego arrived at the front door, he saw that it was his classmate Lola. "Hey Diego," she said beaming at him, "I've already rung, but nobody opened it.
I wanted to ask if you feel like an ice cream. We could go to the ice cream parlor together. "How gladly Diego would have gone to eat ice cream with Lola. After all, Lola was a really nice, good-looking girl from his class. Quite unlike most girls in his class. They were all so bitchy and always cackling so childishly that Diego did not like it. "So," he began, "my dad, brother and I were in the playground and now our dog fell into a hole in the forest and can not get out alone!
I'll just pick up some stuff and then we'll try to pull it out! "Oh," said Lola, "the poor dog. Can I help you? "" Gladly, "Diego retorted. The two quickly packed a long line and a shovel, some food, a bag of chips and a water bottle in a bag and hurried back into the forest.
Once there, they met Pablo and Alejandro, who bit by bit dug closer to the dog. But it was not that easy with bare hands. "Lola was on our doorstep and would like to help save Sofia," Diego told his companion. "I'm glad, Lola," Alejandro replied, then go. Did you bring the things with you? "Lola poured out the bag of things she had brought. "Oh," said Pablo, "are the chips also for Sofia?" "No, Diego grinned," they're for after-sale, so to speak, as a reward for us. "
Now Alejandro could not resist the grin. That was typical of his boys. They loved chips, both of them. But now they first had to free the trapped hunting dog from the hole in the ground. The roles were clear: Pablo threw himself on the ground in front of the hole and dug with his hands to dig his beloved dog as quickly as possible free. It did not bother him that he was full of soil from top to bottom.
His father started to dig a bit beside him. Diego and Lola provided in the meantime the panting and howling four-legged friends with water and food. In addition, Diego managed to completely calm Sofia with his loving, calm manner. She patiently waited until her four rescuers had dug a hole large enough for her to climb out effortlessly.
Overjoyed, the four embraced her. "Well, let's go home," said Papa Alejandro, "enough adventures for today! Let's go home and eat a delicious ice cream for the horror! "The three children did not say that twice.
Quickly they were out of the woods, crossed the field and turned into their street. All four were overjoyed and Lola took Diego's hand on the way home. But suddenly they heard someone crying. It sounded like a girl who needed to be close by. They turned the corner of the street and spotted the girl lying on the pavement beside her bicycle. "Lucia!" Exclaimed Pablo, "did you hurt yourself?"
Lucia sobbed and pointed to her knee. She wore a dress and had ridden her bike over a rock, then skidded and dropped to her knee. Also on both palms slight abrasions were visible. Pablo helped Lucia up. "Hey Lucia," he said, "we just wanted to go home and eat some ice cream. Do you want to come along? Then we will take care of your wounds. "He wiped the last tear from Lucia's face and smiled at her. "Yes, with pleasure," she replied.
At home there was a delicious chocolate ice cream for everyone and for Sofia an extra helping of treats. After the two guys had an appointment with the two girls for the next day and then they went home, Pablo, Diego and her dad enjoyed a really nice men's evening - of course with chips and Fanta! Such a real evening among "men" is just something very special!
Mateo was an old, poor man. He had white, long hair and a white, long beard. He lived very reclusive in a rotten, old tree trunk in the forest on the outskirts of the city. There he had set up his small cave, which he called his home. His entire belongings were limited to the clothes he wore, a cap, a few dishes he had found on the garbage, and an old, scratchy blanket. He himself had turned his back on the city and normal life many years ago and henceforth lived in harmony with nature. He felt comfortable in his cave, even if he had little. Nevertheless, Ami pondered sometimes and in some moments he felt a bit lonely.
