A Highlander's diary

A highlander's diary

The world is still, but only for a moment. The quiet breeze outside makes me wonder, whether or not there is still hope for mankind. These hours of the morning I tend to enjoy the most because they cause me to think of all the experiences all the things, which I have been blessed and maybe also cursed to see.

Many things have changed and many things are about to change. Will the Lord return? Will humanity survive? How will it be like in 100 years from now? Will, there be another war and how will it affect us and me and my little paradise, which I have created in this city of immense ambiguity and diversity.

Every day is a new adventure, at least for me, because I have been blessed to inhale the essence of life. I have been bestowed with the gift of a very long life, which has enabled me to realize many things, which have been conundrums for many theologists, philosophers and great thinkers of the past centuries, whom I have had the privilege to meet.

Where should I start my sweet diary and how can I convey the message of a purposeful life to the one, who is ready to listen. Perhaps I should introduce myself first because everything else would create a quite rude and harsh undertone. I am Kenneth Bragnar and was born in the 10th century in Ireland. My descent is mostly Irish, but strangely enough, I have found out, that I am part Indian and Asian. This has to do with the intercultural background of Ireland, which most people are not aware of. How should they? They have not experienced history as I have; and one thing you can be sure of. The history, which you have been taught in school or have read in most books, is not really accurate.
