AREA 51 combat zone
S'ssll1, former commander of the ZZ, was satisfied. They had captured a lot of secret technological data of the enemy aliens. Now it was time to pass unnoticed by the huge spaceship of the Neensziss, as this species called itself, and to fly back to Earth.
Previously, the 5th column under the leadership of ZUzu should be picked up on the giant ship with the designation KO, after they had sabotaged this.
Unfortunately, some things had gone wrong here. The last message from ZUzu said that he would continue to try to take out the mother ship’s commander, RReggchrah.
The former dinghy of the ZZ should fly directly to Earth to bring the valuable data to safety.
S'ssll1 uttered a shrill cry of displeasure and rose a little too quickly and too abruptly from the control unit.
Immediately a general disorientation began with him. It became increasingly apparent that time was increasingly working against their presence in this part of the universe.
His species moved in constant interaction between two worlds, which mainly contributed to an instability of their appearance.
In the face of the human species, they tried to hide their weakness by bandaging the heads with black, very roughly worked linen cloths.
Only the bloodshot eyes were still visible. The rest of the body was encased in an armored skeleton, modelled on the exterior of a humanoid life form.
Their true form remained hidden, even for the members of their own people.
This part of the universe was usually the no man’s land frowned upon and shunned for its species.
Here the structures of dark matter flowed in the wrong way for them and caused a fluctuation of the tides of the energy level, which was so completely different from what they were used to in their universe.
In the end, it was a coincidence that they had discovered the people of Earth.
For 5 cycles now, a research group of their people has been busy infiltrating the leadership of the local intelligentsia in order to adapt the structural integrity of the planetary system to their needs in a timed framework.
Unfortunately, the necessary technology was only partially present in the five spaceships that were hidden behind the night side of the only satellite on Earth.
They worked feverishly to create a suitable machinery that would match the energy level of this planetary system to theirs when the Earth suddenly received a visit from another alien race, the Neensziss.
It was time to intervene.
This was the only reason they had been sent to the second planet of this solar system.
Sabotage and espionage were the tasks of the so-called 5th Column.
They also originally had two human agendas on board the ZZ.
The Human Government had insisted that it was also represented in this special operation.
These two strange representatives of their kind, Major Rooster Cogburn and Lieutenant Colonel James Maxwell, were lost on the planet Venus after the hasty retreat.
S'ssll1 cared little about this.
On the contrary, he was glad not to know these creatures in the same room with him.
They had always irritated him with their presence anyway.
He would have liked to simply dispose of them before the start of the action; let them go overboard.
However, the upper leadership of his race had insisted that he take them with him.
Now this problem had resolved itself, and the Neensziss wanted to do what they wanted with them.
When the glaring beep of a short alarm impulse was suddenly heard within the control room of the small ship, not only S'ssll1 winced in shock, but also his four attendants.
The huge ship of the Neensziss had caught her eye.
Take a slow ride and avoid increasing the radiation levels of the boat."
His orders were brief and choppy, and her boat had almost no armament. Their defensive systems were also no match for such a giant as the KO.
„We are hit by very strong locating pulses despite active camouflage mode. Whether and to what extent our camouflage has been broken cannot be validated! "
There was no reaction from the Neensziss, but that could change very quickly.
S'ssll1 was not willing to take the slightest risk. If they were discovered, they would most likely be destroyed.
However, the acquired data would also be lost, Vand this could not happen under any circumstances.
Prepare data transfer! "
The former commander of the ZZ had not yet issued the order when a crew member suddenly rose from his console seat.
„Commander S'ssll1, note that the data transfer will reveal our location even more. The transmitted data pulse, even if it corresponds to only a few nanoseconds, will be clearly traceable by the KO. So you can immediately draw conclusions about our location."
„What are you doing! I don’t need any instruction, of course I know the effects of this measure. However, it is of utmost necessity that our scientists receive this data, regardless of our fate! "
S'ssll1 stood furiously in front of the control panel and watched as Otal’ll sat down again. His gaze slowly wandered through the small ship’s headquarters and suddenly got caught on a steering display in front of him.
The compression of the data file was complete and could be sent.
In fact, the former commander of the ZZ hesitated.
On the central screen the huge ship of the Neensziss was still clearly visible.
It began to drift easily to port.
Then a jerk went through his body, and he pressed the display.
The file was sent immediately. Not a second passed, and around the Neensziss' ship it began to shimmer in various shades of color.
"Enemy ship is building a protective field," it sounded from the mouth of Otal’ll.
S'ssll1 could of course also see it on the central screen.
Several hangar pods opened almost synchronously and like a swarm of mosquitoes, dozens of small space fighters left the ball ship.
They immediately swarmed in pairs.
Two combat gliders are coming right at us, should we open fire? "
S'ssll1 didn’t take a second to think.
No, keep course and engines on maximum acceleration! "
The two approaching combat gliders could not see the small dinghy of the ZZ on their scanner.
The stealth device was too good, but the risk was great that it could be visually identified if the gliders came too close.
S'ssll1 glanced at the central screen, and it was then that S'ssll1 looked up.
Their space boat accelerated with maximum power, but the two small combat gliders still came much too fast.
Initiate evasive course! "
S'ssll1 also became nervous now. When his command was still unanswered after several seconds, he rushed to the manual control and completely seized control of the boat.
With practiced grips he changed the direction of flight, using as the basis of this decision the two combat gliders already recognizable on the central screen.
That this was a wrong option became immediately apparent.
Due to the abrupt change in course, the dinghy of the ZZ shot exactly at another two-tier space fighter, which was not yet visible on the central screen. Too late, S'ssll1 noticed the threat.
The nuclear explosion was strong and short. The two space fighters as well as the dinghy, which had still deactivated its protection fields due to the danger of location, passed in a sunny detonation.
The two space fighters visible on the central screen were able to dodge just in time.
On board the KO, the recorded, coded radio message began to be decided.
However, this proved to be very difficult. At first, only a part had been received, and it quickly turned out that a very complex system of coding following no known logic had been used.
The analysts faced an almost impossible task. It seemed almost as if the data were not from this world, but from a very different universe.
The memory was like a fiery sword thrust into the chest, and the thoughts slowly faded away, and so did the pain. Takaarrath’s memory ended with his imprisonment on Saturn’s moon Enceladus.
This time it took him much longer to find himself in the present reality.
It was located 27 stories high in an apartment tower of GLEESITT, the city of thousand stars’.
It had been almost exactly 250 years since his exile.
He had been ripped out of his life at the time, what had happened to Marvin? How did the fight against the hostile alien aliens end?
That it had come to an end could not be denied.
In any case, these strange strangers no longer existed in the present time, just as his people apparently no longer existed.
"I will not sit idly by while in the past the fate of my people decides," Takaarrath shouted into the room.
It was also a habit for people to express their displeasure, but it helped relieve stress.
Can I help you? "
The central security autocracy of the city made itself mentally noticeable through the mental genetics of an artificially generated telepathy.
Takaarrath’s thoughts began to overturn.
Inform TALAH to pick me up! "
His decision was made, and he would also travel back in time.
It didn’t take a minute and the physical hologram of the guardian of the Star-Walk, the cross-dimensional temporal path, appeared in the full body size of a Neensziss right in front of him.
You wish me to speak, builder! "
