Author’s Note
When the penguins, Anne-Marie and Fred, commissioned me to make a drawing of cloud types for their chicks, their only request was, “not boring - make it fun!”
At the time, I had no idea about clouds or just what I was letting myself in for. From that first drawing the project grew and grew as the fascinating world of clouds opened up to us. Many barrels of herrings and scrumpled up drafts later the project has finally come together.
Anne-Marie and Fred appear in many of the drawings, usually wearing their colourful Hawaiian shirts or looking sharp in smart purple and blue tuxedos.
