Introduction
I could say that this is probably going to be one of the most important books in your life because we're going to be dealing with UFOs.
There have been a lot of movies about UFOs, and they give evidence to the higher hunger of man to desire to believe in a higher form of life. We want to believe that there's something out there. The lure beyond the terrestrial has always attracted humanity. I think you as a child, just like me, I used to walk around my house in the night, and even outside where I look up to see the stars. I'll see if I could see something. Some of all, so spiritual, you never did that. I used to look for things to appear.
I always wanted to hear things since I was very creative in my mind. Matter of fact, sometimes, I created things that I didn't see. The pre-occupation of UFOs is ample evidence of man's craving for the celestial. I think all of us may have seen these articles about sightings of this one and sightings of that one. Man seems to love and crave this special item of celestial appearances.
Now, movies about the visitation of higher forms of life from outer space prove that the movie created an image showing man as a helpless agent against these awesome beings. What was frightening in the movies is that humans could do nothing to stop these beings. Many people say that the Bible does not teach the existence of UFOs, and therefore, we should disregard them. But the acronym UFO means Unidentified Flying Objects. That's what it means, UFO. That means there’s something they saw that they couldn't explain, and they can’t identify it.
It was flying in the air, and it's an object, and that's a UFO. Now, I have no evidence against or for the existence of UFO as they scientifically described them. However, according to the scriptures, there are IFOs. Now, write that down, I’ll tell you what IFO is. The Bible teaches the existence of IFOs, which means Identified Flying Objects. Give the Lord a hand; God leaves nothing like a mystery. There is such a thing as Identified Flying Objects. These are not mysteries. The Bible tells us who they are, what they are, and what they can do. And we're going to learn about these powerful creatures today.
Who are these Identified Flying Objects, these are called angels. The doctrine of angels is a fundamental Christian doctrine. If you are a Christian, you must believe in angels. If you don't believe in angels as a Christian, then you are not a Christian. Why? Because Jesus believes in angels, and that's our acid test. Now, we are not to think that man is the highest form of created being as the distance between man and the lower forms of animals are filled with beings of various grades. So, it is possible that between man and God exists a higher level of life.
Matter of fact, between you and the amoeba, are millions of different species of animals at different levels. So, that's from a man going down. Why then should it be difficult to believe from a man going up? There is a mass of various types of beings between God and us. This is possible and is turned into certainty by the expression and the explicit teaching of the scripture. The Bible teaches that between man and God is a massive activity of spiritual beings that no man can see with the physical eye. Around us is a spiritual world, far more crowded than the earth, far more powerful than the earth, and far more resourceful than the earth, our visible world. If you could glimpse into the spirit world, you'd probably faint and then wake up again and faint again.
You remember the story of Elijah sitting on the porch, and there was an army of thousands of soldiers coming to kill him who was sent by that wicked queen. Elijah was very cool and relaxing. The army came to kill him, and he saw the horses and the armies and the spears and daggers coming. Elijah was so calm so much that his servant became concerned, and the servant said master, don't you see they're coming. Look at dust in the distance. They're coming, and the master said, don't worry about it. We're safe. And the servant says but master, what do you mean you're safe? You're going to be killed. And Elijah says, Oh Lord, open his eyes that he may see what I see.
And the Bible calls this group that he saw Heavenly host. Now, the host means plenty of beings. And the Bible says the Holy Spirit opened the eyes of the servant, and he saw over and behind the army, ten times the number of angels with weapons, and they destroyed the army before the army even got to Elijah. In other words, there's more activity going on above your head than below your feet. Sometimes, you feel you are alone. If you only knew who was in the room, you would start dancing.
See around us, they are spirits, good and evil, and they are always moving in our midst with lightning speed and noiseless movement; they pass from place to place instantly. These spirits are awesome. They inhabit the space of the air, the Bible says, all about us. So, we know that we should be concerned about them, but they are more concerned about us than we are about them. Others are set on our harm. Some angels want to hurt us and as those who protect us.
