Dana stared out the window and watched her husband struggle to put his large bag in the trunk of a bright yellow taxi.  A small smirk made its way past her lips as he nearly fell.  Her husband was off to yet another business trip, this time to present in New York.  It was long trip away from their home on the outskirts of northern Seattle.  The small Indian cab driver impatiently tapped his foot while he crossed his arms.

The scene was entirely backwards from what it should have been.  Yet, her husband was most likely going to tip the cab driver.  While he was a good hearted man, he was just too introverted to really assert himself.  Dana had initially strayed away from the short balding man when they first met.  One of her friends had introduced him through a mutual acquaintance.

While looks were important to Dana, she also wanted someone who could support her and eventually a family in the future.  Her husband, Fred, was a lead programmer for Microsoft, and after jumping ship to be a lead at Amazon, he proposed to her.  With a solid future ahead, she had accepted.  Unfortunately, once the initial marriage happiness wore off, she was left with a meek, shy, bald husband who was being overworked.

It wasn't weeks since they were last intimate... no, it had been months.  There were times where he had slept in his office.  Not that it mattered much to Dana.  Even when they had a chance to cuddle and make love, he was quick and eager, usually finishing up within a couple of minutes.  She craved the times she had before she met him, the days when she would party, meet strangers and have one night stands.

She broke out of her trance once her husband finished and waved.  Dana waved back, disinterested, and yawned.  He smiled, boarded the taxi and then he was gone.  She continued staring off and saw one of her neighbors jogging by.  He was a powerhouse of a man, his dark ebony skin glistening in the small little rays of the morning sun.

The drizzling rain wet his white shirt, causing it to cling to his broad muscular shoulders, hardened chest and his rippling abs.  He stopped and pulled out his phone, most likely changing the song he was running to.

His tight black shorts hugged his tight buttocks and his tree trunk like legs.  Dana felt her body grow warm as she stared at the statuesque black man.  He lived a couple houses down, with his wife.  He looked surprisingly young for his age.  No one would ever have imagined that he had a kid in college.

She had never met the son, but she had met him and his wife at a neighborhood barbeque.  She couldn't quite remember his name but she did remember that his wife, Lucile, was a busy consultant at one of the Big Four accounting firms.  Dana stared as he put his phone away and stretched his calves, then his thighs.

She couldn't help but notice the large bulge between his legs as he pulled one leg back.  Even at the distance he was at, she could clearly see a large the outline of something at his crotch.  It looked gigantic and a sly little smile crept up to her lips.  She wondered if it was his manhood or if he was wearing a large cup or jockstrap.

The phone rang and Dana quickly reached out and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Dana," a familiar voice greeted.

"Hey Laura.  What's up?"  Dana asked.

"Did Fred already leave?"

"Yes," Dana replied.  She stared back out the window to see her black neighbor bending down to touch his toes.

"That's good.  There's quite the show going on outside.  You should take a look," Laura said.

"If you're talking about what's his name, I'm already watching."

Laura laughed.  "He is looking good this morning.  What I wouldn’t do to bite his ass."

"Oh Laura.  Come on," Dana sighed.

"Oh, don't say that!  Have you never been with a black man?"

"What?  Well... no.  You know my family is from the south," Dana replied.

"So what?  If there's one thing you should have done before getting married, it's trying a black guy."

“What’s the difference?  Sex is sex,” Dana scoffed.

“No, sex is what you have with your husband.  When you’re with a black guy, that’s just plain fucking,” Laura replied bluntly.

Dana shook her head.  Her friend was known to be a bit off the walls at times.  Dana silently sighed and stared outside again.  Her black neighbor was finished stretching and he began to jog off again.

“So, what’s up?  You called just to tell me about what I’m missing out on in life?”  Dana asked.

Laura laughed.  “No, I wanted to check if you wanted to do a little girl’s night out.  You told me about Fred being out for the week and Johnny is out until next month on his stupid little business trip, so I figured I’d check.”

“Hm... that actually doesn’t sound that bad.  Happy hour?”

“Yeah, let’s go to the Walrus and the Carpenter,” Laura suggested.

“The what?”

“The Walrus and the Carpenter.  It’s a little hole in the wall restaurant but they have some great food.  And the cocktails are decent.”

“Ok, you’re going to have to drive though, because I’ve never heard of it,” Dana replied.

“Sounds good.  I’ll see you at four.”

“Four sounds good.  I’m going to clean up the house a bit, get freshened up and maybe take a nap,” Dana replied.

“Well, when you’re taking a nap, be sure to have a sweet little dream about that guy,” Laura said.

Dana tilted her head, and then looked out the window to see her black neighbor jogging by again.  He had taken off his shirt, revealing his picturesque physique in the rain.  His black, bronze body sparkled in the rain as he hurriedly made his way back.  Dana smiled and shook her head again.

“Oh shut up.”

––––––––

Dana crossed her legs and finished up the last of her salad.  Laura finished up eating one of the oysters on her sampler platter.  Dana took a swig of her drink, called the porch swing, which had a strong taste of gin mixed with soda and plum.

“And so I told him that I was just looking,” Laura finished her sentence.

Dana smiled.  “Really?  You’re married.  You can’t go around acting like you’re single.”

Laura laughed.  “Sometimes a girl’s gotta have some fun.  You know how long it’s been since Johnny’s fucked me?  I mean, really fucked me?”

Dana covered her mouth and looked around, her eyes scanning to make sure that others weren’t staring at them.

“Watch your language,” Dana whispered.

“No one can hear us.  We’re in the corner of a tiny little place with everyone shouting and talking.  We’re barely blips on anyone’s radar,” Laura replied.

“Anyway, as I was saying, I really need to get laid.  Johnny just isn’t doing it,” Laura continued.

“So... you’re thinking of cheating on him?”  Dana asked, astonished.

“What?  Not cheating, just getting a little side action.  Cheating would imply that I fall in love with some other man.  I’m just looking for a good time,” Laura corrected.

Dana shook her head again.  “I can’t believe you wouldn’t think that’s cheating.  So if Johnny had a little side action going, you wouldn’t be mad at him?”

Laura shrugged.  “I already know he’s fucking his secretary.̶ [...]
