Chapter One

CHAPTER ONE

ISAZ ISTRYMATIN

XENOS

I am to secure human survivors from Zechia and take them to my iSazi on Xenos, from whence they emanated. I do not experience discomfort. Xenos was the planet of their residence. Their current location is not feasible.

There is hunger on Zechia as is only etalia it has been reactivated.

The crops are not enough to feed the population. The human inhabited island of Brykfym could be utilised by my people.

My reign of the Sector where Xenos is the only inhabitable planet has seen many of my people relocate to 'undeveloped' sections. We have no interest in human created cities.

Those who were taken from Xenos after the plague and given refuge on Zechia can be returned, limited to what human maps name 'North Coast' and ignored.

The idea of 'integration' may please an iSaz as uPaychel, but will not occur in my iSazi.

I am aware of split in the human population; two regions on the island, one called 'Sodom' which has the larger population, one called Farmtown, which has the smaller.

I will use the river as border, placing those from Sodom on the 'west' side and those of Farmtown on the East.

Once accomplished, my involvement, that of my people in the existence of humans on Xenos, ceases.

As they stay in their section, there will be no issue. If they tend to encroach, they will be dispatched.

This information will be given to them, repeated during the flight so that they may grasp it as choice they make.

Chapter Two

CHAPTER TWO

JOHN DEMARCO

ZECHIA

I could not believe it was happening. I had resigned myself to dying on this planet. I never believed that Jill Chinn See had the power to fulfill my wish.

We'd been taken from our home world after the plague. We'd buried who we had; for me it was my wife and children. I had boarded their shuttles, not caring if the Zees were carrying us to our deaths.

We were going to Earth. That kept us alive until we couldn't. For Earth fired the 'Last Resort'.

We'd thought it was sci-fi, but it wasn't.

The population was underground on Earth as the atmosphere was impenetrable.

As some kind of protest, the survivors of Xenos sabotaged our ride; the Odin Path, the most prestigious cruise vessel in the galaxy.

We had to be put into smaller flyers and given the coords to the Zee planet of KeyTash.

A lot of folks didn't believe the Last Resort was real, so learned at their deaths. Those of us who arrived just wanted to mourn, but were put to work.

Farming, building, mining on KeyTash; then moved to another planet, Zechia, and given our own island.

We messed up.

Those of us who didn't want to live in an upscale version of Sodom chose our own settlement which became Farmtown, a miserable prehistoric existence that some left of their own choosing.
