Samy, the little fairy
Samy was a small, nosey fairy. She always had to poke her little nose in everywhere. When she played with her friends, she was always asking them about everything. As a result, the others eventually wanted nothing more to do with her. "You must have known everything and you're always asking questions," they said to her. "We don't want to play with you anymore!"
Samy was very sad about it. "It's not my fault," she cried bitterly. "I'm just curious, there's just nothing I can do about it. I must have known everything." But it was no use. The others simply didn't want her around anymore.
So, after much deliberation, Samy decided to leave the fairy world. She had decided to explore the human world. Secretly, quietly and silently, she set off one night. She hadn't told anyone. "Let them stay where the pepper grows," she said quietly to herself.
When she arrived in the human world, it was already broad daylight. Of course, she immediately began to explore everything. So time flew by.
One day, however, she was not paying attention. She was so engrossed in the sight of a beautiful flower that she didn't notice little Tim. He had noticed the fairy and was immediately fascinated by her. Quietly, so as not to frighten her, he crept up to her.
"Who are you?" he asked kindly. Samy, however, was terrified. She had tried so hard not to be seen. So now it had happened. She had been discovered.
She squeaked anxiously: "I'm Samy. Please don't hurt me!" However, Tim wasn't the least bit interested in hurting the fairy.
He was really excited and delighted that he had found a real fairy. "I'm not going to hurt you. You're far too beautiful. A real fairy," he mumbled to himself. "No one will believe me!"
As Samy was taken with the boy's friendliness, she became bolder. "And what's your name?" she asked cheekily. "I'm Tim and I live just across the road. See that quaint blue house over there? That's where I live." Because he loved his home. It really was a very quaint, comfortably furnished house. But the best thing of all was the garden. It was big and totally overgrown, so he could play hide and seek there really well. And in the middle of this "jungle" was a small swimming pond. Tim loved to swim and splash around there in the summer. Suddenly, Tim burst out laughing. "Can you see the house?" he snorted. "It's the only one around here." Samy had to join in, Tim's laughter was so infectious.
"Where do you actually come from?" Tim asked curiously. "I've never met a fairy before," he said thoughtfully. "That's probably because we live in the fairy realm, and it's not accessible to humans without the help of a fairy." "Then how come you're here?" Tim then wanted to know.
So Samy told Tim her story about how she had decided to leave the fairy world. When she finished, Tim burst out laughing. Samy was very upset. "How can you just laugh at me like that? That's the purest impertinence," she roared. "You impertinent brat."
