Sebastian's Heaven School

Somehow it just popped and I was there... me, and when I looked around I saw many other "me's" too.

I turned in circles, everything full of "I's". What was I and where did I come from? I poked a spot next to me: "Who are you?" I wanted to know. This spot looked at me and asked: "Well, who are you and what are you?" And so a great murmuring began in the room. Then I heard a voice: "Welcome, you lovely sprouts!" I wanted to see this voice, but there were so many "I's" that I couldn't see the voice at all.

"I'm Mrs. Sonnenfein, the teacher, and I'm glad you're all here. Please sit down so we can get an overview of this class." I immediately sat down on the floor of the clouds and it became quieter and quieter. Far in front of me stood a very large "I," which was probably my teacher Mrs. Sonnenfein.

But what was she, what was I?

"Now, my dear sprouts, calm down. You can't even speak when you're making so much noise. Pssst, pssst," she said. We all became very quiet. "Now, my dears, you were sent here today because many Earth babies were born who will one day be something very special. That's why we need you, my dear baby sprouts, you are the prize and you will be their best friends. But first we will divide you up into the classrooms and tell you your name! She went to one of the “I”s and said: “Ah, you are little Thomas. You will go to Mrs. Wolkenweg’s classroom.” Then to the next: “You are little Noah. You will go to Mr. Sternenweg’s classroom.” So she went from one to the other: “You are little Milan, your teacher is Mr. Regenbogen. You are little Ali, you will also come to my class.” And so it went on. I heard so many names: Lia, Jonas, Anna, Lukas, Maddy, Susanne, Maria, Julia…. Then Mrs. Sonnenfein was finally standing in front of me. Now I will finally find out what my name is and which classroom I will go to.

"You are the little one, Sebastian, you are coming to my class." What a joy that was! My name is Sebastian. Sebastian. How lovely the name sounds. I am so excited! I am so excited to find out who will be in my class and what it actually means to go to school. What is school anyway??? So many questions. But teacher Sonnenfein continued walking through the rows: "You are the little one, Niklas, Johannes, Murat, Judo, Killian, Matija, Aleksandra, Umay, Bea, Borislaw, Lidija, Akin, Petra, Pavle, Azra..."

I - Sebastian!! I - Sebastian, got very tired and thought to myself, it would never end and I fell asleep, in the background I heard Mrs. Sunshine talking on and on....

“Good morning little sprout, good morning Sebastian,” I suddenly heard, I stretched and made myself tall, I slept sooo well. When I looked around the room, many, many sprouts were already gone. Mrs. Sonnenfein said to us: “So, my dears, today is your first day in heaven and you've just started school. I have to tell you all: you are something very special and you will go to a human child and experience the most wonderful adventures there.”
