Julius loved soccer. He's desperate to play in the team, but whenever he tries, he always falls over his feet. Whenever Julius comes to the pitch, the other team members sigh.

Then one day, one of the usual players is sick, and Julius has to play. Still falling over all the time, his team is losing by half time. But when Julius sees a pile of plates and cups starting to wobble, he dives forward quickly as a flash and catches them all.

Seeing this, the manager realizes that Julius would make a very good goalkeeper. But will it be enough to keep him in the team?

Julius and Maya went to soccer school. Maya was really good. She could tackle, she could dribble and she could score goals.

Julius wanted to be good at soccer. But every time he played, he fell over his feet. Each time he kicked the ball, he missed the goal.

The soccer coach spoke to him.

“You cannot play on the team” said the coach. “But I have a special job for you. You can sort out the kits.”

Julius liked organising the t-shirts and socks for the players. But he wanted to play soccer more than anything.

One day, they were invited to play a match. One of their players was ill, so the coach asked Julius to play! Maya was excited. Julius was nervous.

“You’ll be fine” said Maya, “Just try not to fall over.”
